Works ok, had to purchase because of useless designed led batten, does the job until after new year, when we can get a proper light fitting from DIY store

Perfectly serviceable junction box. The plastic is quite brittle but no more so than other brands. People who have managed to break it during installation are likely inexperienced in such things. Just take care and don't overtighten the lid screw or the screws you use to fix the box in place. The same applies when installing any accessory made from this kind of plastic. Anyone trying to snap bits off this to make the cable entey holes bigger are likely using too many cables or cables that are too big for this box.

Basic component, does what you would expect. The plastic construction is good, not too brittle.
