The whole thing came in a good well designed box and arrived very quickly. I like the large selection of lenses and the soft cleaning cloth, also that these have a sturdy storage box which has slots for each lens. The light gives a good illumination with an adjustable angle or close up work - embroidery in this case - and although I was under the impression that batteries were not included, in the kit, they were in mine. The lenses are plastic but much better than I thought they would be from previous experience with other plastic lenses and easy to change on the headpiece. Being able to lift them easily up so you can look at something else is also useful.I do however find the headgear uncomfortable for more than short periods. It is not too heavy but the band that fits around the head has to be quite tight or the whole lot slips down my head - I do have slippery hair. The band is adjustable but of quite a hard plastic material. Also the bottom edges of the lenses are rough and quite sharp here and there. They don't touch your face there but it would have been nice if these edges had been smoothed off. You can wear glasses while using the headgear but I have not found this very practical with mine.

I had trawled the internet for about three hours looking for a close work hands free magnifier, I eventually saw something that would do the job in a video review? Just what I wanted but the cost was $74-00 plus $34-00 shipping and then I would probably have to pay duty tax. and just underneath was the similar items and low and behold there was the the exact same thing or similar ( different name )£13-00 free next day delivery. Suspicious I thought, so I checked all the reviews which 99% were all positive,Checked the product description etc and thought I’ll give it a go. it arrived the next day in the standard Amazon suitcase size box.Now here’s the thing this product was perfectly formed with quality control knobs which all worked with a more than adequate LED head light, easy adjustable head band, comfortable, with five magnifying lenses which can be doubled up, I’ve tried all the permutations with the lenses, with my contact lenses in, reading glasses and multi focal glasses perfect, it makes my iPad look like a forty inch TV even the lens storage box is produced from upper end injection moulding with no sharp tag ends. It’s well boxed with good literate well punctuated instructions a professional thank you for buying card with the company details and help line contact numbers. The price is more than acceptable and well worth it, I can thoroughly recommend this product.For any one to say it’s no good they need to go to Specsavers or make an appointment to see a good eye surgeon failing that a microscope?. If you don’t mind looking like a 1930 crap table croupier this is for you.

As you will see by the Heading I am very happy with my purchase. I am an ancient machine engraver with equally ancient eyes, in retirement (ha, there is no such thing). I still use prehistoric methods but have struggled focusing lately, so I sought assistance from this headband magnifier. I have to say that I was a little apprehensive when I made the purchase as to what might arrive, well, I need not have been, it is absolutely brilliant, from really struggling to focus on cutting master copies in acetate to actually being able to comfortably and have both hands free to do the cutting. I obviously have to make a certain allowance for the equipment on my head but I reckon I have a good few years extra now I can actually see properly again. I took it straight to my workshop to give it a whirl, great news, I can get on with `stuff` again, messing about till my heart`s content. Go for it if you need it, it is brilliant, value for money and a quality product. (Oh, and no, I am not on commission ;o) just well pleased).Geoff the retired machine engraver (not ;o)

Amazing value with 6 glass lenses included, sturdy and comfortable and quality build. On top of all this, an absolute bargain at this price!

Brought this for my dad, he’s using it for fly tying. He saying it’s fantastic to use. He can’t use his magnifying glass any longer,the single strength lens isn’t enough but this has different strength options, the only downside he said is the head band is slightly uncomfortable but her easily sorted that by folding a neck gator up and using it for comfort underneath the head band.

Just what I've been looking for, for AGES. I love doing close art / embroidery work and had bought a tapestry kit that requires very fine detail. My eyesight isn't as good as it used to be (I'm 65) , and getting a glasses prescription made up to cope with the detail would have been far too expensive, plus the glass would have made it too heavy. This magnifier is perfect.The headband is tightened with a plastic screw and I can wear my glasses with it on. You're better off using daylight on the work rather than the LED light during the day, but when it's dark outside or you're in a dimly-lit room the light really comes into its own. The lenses click easily into place, and with care they will last a very long time.I've found it's best to give myself an hour on and then give my eyes something else to focus on for a short while before going back to it, and because the lens / lenses flip up it's easy to check a pattern or a diagram quickly without having to peer at it like Mr McGoo. I'm so pleased with this!
