Depends on how dirty they get in your personal wear of them so either rinse , soak or put in a bra laundry or mesh bag for washing machine.

Yes I think they would be too big as they can get a bit floppy when I’m too hot.

I don't think so they are shaped for the back of feet they would stick out on elbows
