Amazing... when it fits..
This is the first review I've ever written, so go easy on me. But I hope to provide some informative information for even the fussiest of people. So here goes.. first of all, I bought the 6 pack (3 pairs) of small, medium and large. This is actually the third pack of Comply foam tips I've ever bought. About a year ago I bought a 6 pack of the T-100 tips in medium and hated them, so this time I thought I would opt for all 3 sizes. When I was initially buying my first pack, I read (and watched on youtube) reviews about which size to get. These reviews all gave the same impression; if you have small ears, opt for the medium pack. So I did since I usually prefer the small silicone tips. Indeed they did fit me, but they gave a horrible 'tinny' sound to the music so a day after I stopped using them and reverted back to the Shure foamies. Oh, I should also note I'm using Shure SE215 earphones. I was left feeling all the hype was for nothing and these Comply tips are nothing to get excited about. A few months down the line I bought the Comply P series foamies but opted for all 3 sizes and found the sound drastically changes with the size of the eartip. I found the smallest tip gave great sound, but not enough padding to give good comfort. The medium tips gave great comfort, but lacked depth within the music. The largest pair gave too much bass, not enough treble and were fatiguing to wear. After another few months, I've now reverted back to the T-100's for a second try after learning through the P series. So I opted for all 3 sizes. Until anyone is a regular buyer of Comply foam tips, I would ALWAYS recommend buying a pack of all 3 sizes first! I then tried them on in size order testing with both my laptop and my Cowon X7. The smallest tips gave a nice all-round balanced sound. The treble wasn't too bright but was neither too recessed. The midrange didn't sound any different than my P series tips and the bass was present, however it didn't extend as well as I would like it. On top of that, comfort was awful as the tips are super small. I then moved on to the medium pair which I had before, and like before, the sound was terrible. The highs were recessed and the mids were washed out giving it that 'tinny' sound. On top of that, the bass wasn't clean either. I then moved on to the final tips, the biggest of the lot. The biggest tips turned out to be perfect. They offered supreme comfort without feeling like the foam was expanding to stretch out my ears (like the biggest P series tips were) and the sound was by far the best. I was left blown away as the highs were very spacious offering clarity without being too bright and the high-mids provided great detail and lower-mids were very deep, although a little muddy. This was rectified later by adjusting the EQ. The bass extended far deeper than any of the others and gave a great deal of depth to the music. The moral of the story then is although the size of the tips is important for fit, it is equally important for the soundstage of the music. Just a slight change of size can drastically change the way your music sounds. Don't go thinking these Comply tips are the bee's knee's as you might not find a size that gives you both comfort and excellent sound quality. It's whatever suits you, but in order to find out which one suits you best, you need to try all the sizes. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend people to try these atleast once.

Great - but!!
They certainly do the job as required, eliminating external sounds and improving the quality of my earbuds, BUT, when I remove them from my ears, the tips come away from the buds and remain in my ears! (I am using the large tips, i will try medium and small to see if the same thing happens.)

Big money for a big improvement
From the outset I ought to say here that I'm not a fan of in-ear headphones, and on top of that I'm a die-hard audiophile who has run speakers like the latest Quad Electrostatics at home, and a regular concert-goer. Point is you won't usually hear me gushing about this entry-level stuff. I added these tips to a pair of SoundMagic e10 I use occassionally when not wanting to fire up my full-sized cans. First thing you notice is how much more comfortable the e10s become than with the standard supplied tips. This is a big deal for me as usually in-ears quickly make my ears feel itchy and sweaty. The first listening session lasted for nearly two hours without any fidgeting or scratching - setting a new endurance record right from the off. Next thing you notice is the improved sound isolation. Dropping the noise floor is always a great thing for sound quality as it allows you to hear the quieter parts that otherwise would have been masked by external noises. It spares you from having to crank the levels to hear all the details. Talking of cranking the volume, the sound isolation works in the opposite direction too. In bed at midnight, with the volume up to 11, my wife lying right alongside couldn't hear a single thing leaking from the e10s. Nothing. Zilch. Final thing to comment on is the greatly enhanced bass reproduction these tips bring to the party. With the soft silicon deforming to make a perfect seal inside your ear canal, the low frequency sounds are then able to really do their thing. Over the years, I've never experienced anything like this from a set of in-ears (albeit I've never dropped silly money on a set); it really was a remarkable transformation. Such was the power and solidity of the bass, that I was taken back to my years as a night-clubbing youth. Some of those better sound systems you could feel on your chest and pulsating in your ears. Thanks to these silicon tips, I got the same effect on my ears from a 30 quid pair of headphones. In summary? On the face of it, they're not cheap. However, the benefit they bring to a cheap set of headphones compared with the rubbishy supplied buds makes them easily worth the price.

I'm still in disbelief at how good these are!
I'm rocking a pair of Sennheiser Momentum M2-IEG cabled in-ears. I picked them up around 5 years ago and they still sound and work great. The issue I was having was that the included ear-tips were becoming increasingly loose and I was often finding they fell off. I was originally going to buy a replacement set off Sennheiser directly before I came across these ear-tips by Comply. I'll summarise my thoughts below: - They're incredibly comfortable. I cannot stress this point enough. This observation is coming from someone who struggles to wear in-ear headphones normally, and who often starts to experience ear ache after only a couple of hours. I've managed to have these in for a full working day and have minimal to no discomfort. - The sound isolation is just ridiculous. I guess this is due to the fact they're made of memory foam and you get an incredibly tight, tailored fit inside your ear canal as the foam expands to shape. This is probably the most impressive passive noise isolation experience I've had. - They've transformed the sound of my headphones for the better! Owing to the better sound isolation, I'm finding I can listen to music at lower volumes now. The sound also seems more like an open back headphone as opposed to a closed back one, which surprised me as I feel these ear-tips directs the sound more in the ear. The bass remains unchanged however, not that this is a bad thing! - The fit on the headphone is very secure on the connector. I have no concerns that they'll fall off anytime soon. I was initially hesitant in buying these for two reasons - the high price tag and the reports of poor durability. Whilst I acknowledge that these are expensive they are definitely the best ear-tip I've used by far. I can't comment on the durability of them though as I've only had them for a week. I would recommend them to anyone who is thinking of buying!

Great to start with but quickly degrade - Here's an alternative...
Like most of the reviews here, I was over the moon with these tips when i first got them. I placed the first pair onto my HiFiMan RE-0 earphones and within minutes was enjoying much improved detail, low end bass, focus and clarity in everything I listened to. Given how comfortable they were to wear too, they were an absolute joy and made an already good pair of headphones into an astoundingly good pair. I'm not a heavy headphone user. I get monthly trips with my work which involve train travel and so they get a few hours use every few weeks, but even then, the first pair of these gave me less than 3 weeks worth of use. Hoping it was a one off, I fitted the second pair and treated them with kid gloves - never stretching them, twisting them or placing excessive force on them, but once again, the second pair lasted about the same amount of time. At that point I knew that by the time I'd fitted the third and final pair, it was time to start looking for alternatives. The problem with them is that they lose their shape and go soft, so no longer form a good bond with the ear canal, so the bass disappears and they end up sounding tinny and hollow. Here's a tip though. You can get VERY close to these by getting yourself a box of the foam earplugs from Boots the Chemist - They come in a light blue box and contain 3 pairs costing around £3. You need a retractable ballpoint pen and a sharp knife (I actually did this without the knife, sat on a train, that's how easy it is to do). Place your pen in the middle of one of the earplugs and push through all the way until the pen tip comes out the other side. Now turn it around and just push the pen through the other way so the hole is about the same size at both ends. Once you've done that, cut the earplug in half using the knife (I just tore it in half with my fingers) and now stretch the hole in each plug over the earpieces of your earphones and you're done. Now you just compress the plugs slightly before inserting into the ears. This idea may not last any longer than the Comply tips (I've only just started doing this so cannot comment on how long they last yet) but cost much less and are far easier to obtain when you're travelling.

Horrific Experience... Twice!
Absolutely awful. I have bought this product twice. The second time to ensure I did not get a faulty pack. These earbuds, whilst boasting decent sound isolation and comfort, are the least durable set of earbuds I have ever had. For the price this is atrocious. In both occurrences I have followed the instructions on how to use them perfectly, however I went through all 3 pairs of earbuds within the space of a month an a half. That's right, it took approximately 40 days for all 3 pairs in the set to disintegrate and lose any of the defining qualities that apparently make this brand so "great". So what happens? Well each pair of earbuds lasts around 10-12 days at best. Using them as per instructions (i.e. squeezing the memory foam before inserting them into the ear) you will see that a split has occurred in one of the earbuds on the 9th day. This is your 3 day countdown and the end of any sound isolation. Within the next 3 days, the earbud will soon disintegrate from every use. Chunks of memory foam will fall off every time you take the earbuds out of your ears and you will face the concern of potentially having foam trapped against your eardrum. I cannot stress enough how terrible this product is. I understand it is difficult to ensure that you are getting the correct size earbuds for your earphones but I strongly advise you move past these ones.

Fit for Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 plus
I ordered these after buying a set of Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 plus earbuds. The foam tips that come with the buds are...Ok, but both pairs of medium tips disintegrated after two weeks of moderate use. I did a lot of searching around to try to find some replacements/upgrades and found these. I'd read some reviews that said they don't fit the buds at all. They DO. They do need some careful fitting but they do fit reassuringly well. These Comply 600s are a lot chunkier than the tips that come with buds but I could tell that the quality was far superior to the originals. The one downside is that the buds now don't 'snap' into the charging case as they do with the originals and that was a lovely little tactile joy, but seeing as that's not my primary use then it doesn't bother me too much. And I read from other reviews that have fitted these to the Melomania 1 plus that they don't charge in the case and the buds stay connected via bluetooth to your device... I can confirm, for me, they do charge and they do disconnect from the device. I think the Melomania 1 plus are fantastic little things with a massive sound and these tips make that sound so much better. When you scrunch them down to fit into your ears they expand and create a really good seal. THEN you get the true power of these buds to ramp up. I can definitely recommend these little things if you have a pair of the Melomania 1 plus. As for durability I can't comment as I only received them today, but they certainly look like they might last longer than a week!

Great enhancement in comfort and sound quality.
Simple idea, but they work really well. Compared to the standard tips, these are superior in every way. Made from soft memory foam, you gently crush them between finger & thumb and immediately insert them into your ear. Hold them in place for 10 to 20 seconds whilst thry expand to fill your ear canal gripping the ear softly but firmly. The snug fit helps block extraneous noise whilst improving the quality of sound. These are really comfortable for extended wear and take your earbuds into a different league. They are not the cheapest but they are worth the cost by improving both the quality of sound and noise reduction.
