Good quality product
This brand seems to be more effective than the Empathy one, and in my opinion, has a better (finer) consistency. The Empathy comes as grey granules and when re-potting plants treated with that one, even a year later, the grey granules would still sit around the roots, and didn't look to have done anything much. It is always hard to judge the effectiveness of such things, as so many other factors can impact. So far, I've used this (and the other one) mainly for potted plants, which is not the most effective use, anyway - this is more effective for plants in open ground, according to my understanding, although can be beneficial for potted plants. Anyway, this is a finer powder, seemingly based on seaweed extract, and adheres far better to exposed roots than the granules of the other brand. Generally speaking, I think this company makes high quality products. This year, I used this, plus the BactorS13 and TricorP5 from this company for my hanging baskets, covering the root balls on transplanting with this, adding the Tricor powder to the compost mix and watering with bactor solution after filling the baskets and I've seen a definite improvement this year. My baskets never tend to look as good as others I see, which is probably down to insufficient care, and these products seem to make the plants far better able to deal with some neglect. The main issue is not watering frequently enough, and despite having been less consistent than in previous years, my baskets look better, with more flowers and quicker growth. I also noticed they took less time to start flowering this year. Otherwise, I've changed nothing (although it has rained far more this year, but only in last month, and the improvement was noticeable even during a very dry spell earlier this year), so I think these products have contributed to better looking and therefore more healthy plants. This is somewhat more expensive than the Empathy brand (quite a bit more, if you buy the smaller quantity, this 600 g packet works out cheaper than 300 g, but is still more expensive than Empathy), but as neither brand is cheap, I'd rather pay a bit more and have a product that actually seems to make a difference. You only have to do it once, at planting, so even the 300 g packet will last quite a while, depending on how much you plant and the size of the plants (it works out cheaper to treat plants earlier on, when the root ball is still small). The company has a website, which provides some further info, although all you need to know is on the packet. I don't mix this with compost, I cover the root ball and add some powder to the planting hole - it has to be in contact with the roots to work, so I would pretty much ignore the first instructions for amount per volume of compost, as you'll waste most of it that way. I try to uncover some roots if none are already exposed around the edge of the root ball, moisten the roots/rootball, and cover with the powder, using 1 - 2 teaspoons for small - medium plants, saving a bit of that amount to put in the planting hole. If you wish to treat an established plant, you can add some small plants around the base, which you treat with this when planting, it will then spread to the roots of the established plant in time. If using this method, it will take some time, so don't expect to see instant results. Even when using at first planting, I imagine it takes some time to establish itself around the roots, so it's not an instant magic cure-all, but does seem to make plants more resilient and faster growing. Previously, was not convinced about the effectiveness of mycorrhizal fungi, but since using it with my baskets this year, now believe this does make a difference - although it's hard to know how much this product alone contributed.. If you want to try mycorrhizal fungi, would recommend this brand, though..

Amazing results.
I have to do this review in conjunction with another product from this company as I used both at the same time so can not say if the results I have had are down to one or both of these products but I believe it is the combination of the two as diversity is key in organic growing. The other product is their BactorrS13 Beneficial Bacteria for compost tea. (Wish I knew how to attach a link!) I do a lot of no till, organic, living soil growing indoors and have been doing so successfully for about 4 years now, I discovered the 'perfect' living soil recipe about 2 years ago and have had great success with it but, (and this is where this product shines) usually once a new bed has been mixed and set I have to wait 10-14 days for the mycorrhizae and microbiology to become active enough to plant in it. I always sow a 12 seed cover crop as soon as it is mixed as this helps in many ways and up to now the cover crop growth has been slow and sometimes erratic as the soil just is not ready yet. I started a new bed recently using all my original ingredients, peat, worm casts, rock dust, malted barley, gypsum etc etc but also these two myco and bacteria blends from TNC and as usual sowed my usual cover crop mix. 3 days later some of the cover crop (vetch & barley among others) was 8 inches tall, I have never seen growth like it including the many other far better growers that I watch on Youtube, absolutely amazing results and it can only be down to these blends from TNC. I have always used many types of myco as diversity is key in organic gardening so the more different types of soil life you can get the better. These 2 products have been the single biggest beneficial boost I have ever used so to say I am a fan is an understatement. One thing that really annoys me though is that over the last few years I have searched Amazon many times using keywords such as mycohrrizae beneficial bacteria and soil microbes and I have never found these products and only found them recently by chance when looking for bokashi bran! I really can not recommend these two products highly enough for organic gardening but particularly the no till method as we do not want to disturb the myco. Even with all the other types of myco I use none have ever had such an obvious effect as these. I shall be using these products now in every cycle. Thank you TNC.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Used in work, as its alway's been a very good inoculation product, for all stages of plant growth. Hope they brought back their "hydro" version again soon. I recommend This product.
