THIS DOES CREATE A PERFECT OIL MIST...IF YOU USE IT PROPERLYBought this to spray a fine mist of oil on food before air frying. A lot of reviews say it doesn't create a mist with oil (although it does with water), and one review says it does create a mist with oil once "if held at the right angle" (really?!).Holding the bottle at a different angle, standing on one leg, or wearing a green feather hat will not help you to use this to create an oil mist. Oil is has a higher viscosity than water (it's "thicker"), so if you give the spritzer a slow lazy pump, it might mist water but oil will squirt out in a straight line...so just give it a really assertive fast push and you get an oil mist instead of a stream.I've filled mine with groundnut oil and it works brilliantly. Some olive oils will likely be a bit "thicker" and would need a faster spritz to get them to mist.Because it's not obvious and no instructions to this effect, I've knocked 1 star off for ease of use, otherwise a full 5 stars.

Agree with some of the other reviewers that it takes practice to master the art of 'spraying' .. but it is possible; once you work it out. I find a quick sharp press, results in a good spray.. not every time.. sometimes more of a squirt. If I end up with a squirt, quick brush over with pastry brush does trick. Overall pleased with item. Far healthier & much cheaper in the long run than the well known commercial light spray that I have been using for years.

A very good product. I don't like brushing food with oil as the brush picks up food. The spray does reduce the amount of oil used which is a big bonus. No messy brushes to wash, brill. I would have liked it better if the oil spray was more misting.

Original review: It does not spray, but gives a jet instead. Disappointing.Revised review: 14/7/18: We now realise that if the pot is held at the correct angle, it does produce a spray, so we have raised to a 4 star review.

Only worked a couple of times as a spray then came out as a jet. Workable but no good if you are trying to control the amount of oil you're adding.

This product is great and does what I want. My only disappointment is the oil comes out in a jet rather than a mist but other than that I'm very happy with it.

As has been stated by other users, the spray pattern is more of a jet rather than a fine mist as had been expected, so somewhat disappointing.

As other have noted this streams the oil and is not a fine mist as you would expect.
