Can you adjust the brightness of the laser using the app like you can in the less expensive model? If not - why not?

Thank you for your question. The brightness of the laser can not be adjusted in this model. This laser level comes with a LCD screen and Bluetooth Remote Control.

You do need the wall charger as this battery has no C-port .
