Very good item. Works like a dream and easy to fit if your replacing your old Siamp flush valve. No need to remove cistern, unless first time using Siamp.

Worth buying easier to replace than the washer

This is the replacement for a damaged flush mechanism in your cistern. Usually the part in your old cistern that goes wrong is the rubber diaphragm, which seals the water outflow so that the tank can fill after you have flushed it. When this rubber diaphragm gets old it allows the refill water to leak into the pan, therefore your cistern doesn't fill up. What you notice is that water is constantly running into the pan, and when you try to flush the cistern you find that it is empty. IMPORTANT: Lower the toilet seat before you start work - you don't want anything to get lost by falling into the pan! Fitting this new unit is simple: Undo the chromium ring that surrounds the flush button. If it is difficult to turn you can put on a pair of washing-up gloves to give your fingers better grip. Once you have undone the ring you can lift-out the flush button and lift-off the lid of the cistern. You remove the old plastic flush mechanism by grasping it AT THE BOTTOM, pressing it firmly downward and rotating it by one eighth of a turn anti-clockwise. Wiggle the old mechanism and pull it out. Wipe around the circular plastic seating in the bottom of the tank to remove any grit or other debris then insert the replacement mechanism. Push it down into place by holding it AT THE BOTTOM then twist it firmly clockwise until it is locked in place. Replace the cistern lid, gently screw-in the new flush button that comes with the plastic mechanism. Do not tighten the chromium ring too much - it just needs to be sufficiently tight to stop the flush button from moving sideways; leave the chromium ring slightly loose so that it can be undone next time without trouble. If you examine the old plastic flush mechanism you'll probably find that the black rubber diaphragm is slightly shredded around its edge. Treat the new mechanism gently as you fit it; as you can see in the photograph the top is just held by two delicate stirrups, so grasp the mechanism at the bottom when you are fitting it in place.

Easy to fit, if you have small hands. From receiving to removing the faulty unit and fitting the new unit took less than 15 minutes!

Broke couple of day after fitting

Je suis réellement stupéfait !! Notre WC à été installé en 1995, nous sommes en 2025 : la chasse d'eau était d'origine !! J'ai fait l'achat de ce produit car ma chasse d'eau fuyais abondamment ces derniers jours. En démontant la chasse d'eau j'ai vu la marque SIAMP inscrite sur le plastique et je me suis mis à la recherche d'un modèle identique, trouvé en quelques secondes avec une recherche photo Google, il ne m'a pas fallu plus de temps pour l'installer. Nul besoin de retirer le réservoir, de déposer le robinet d'arrivée d'eau, de remplacer l'embase ni le joint entre le réservoir et la cuvette (bien que tout ceci soit fourni dans le sachet pour ceux qui auraient un problème lié à l'embase) Je n'ai simplement eu qu'à faire un quart de tour pour retirer l'ancienne, et un quart de tour pour la remplacer par la nouvelle : Durée de l'intervention 30 secondes !! A l'ère de consommable, de l'obsolescence programmée et du jetable.... cela parait incroyable qu'une société ait fait le choix que ses produits soient compatibles et interchangeables après plus de 25 années de commercialisation ! C'est Français, c'est fabriqué à Monaco, et ça à duré 25 ans ! J'ai poussé le vice jusqu'à aller faire un tour sur le site web du fabriquant et...croyez le ou non....certaines pièces détachées sont référencées, donc pour celui ou celle qui voudrait simplement changer le joint ou le bouton poussoir : C'EST VISIBLEMENT POSSIBLE !! Mais comme je suis un gros feignant, j'ai préféré opter pour l'achat de l'ensemble complet. Certains ont retiré une étoile car la clé de montage n'était pas fournie, certes, sachez le : elle ne l'est pas ! Mais pour ma part je n'en ai pas eu besoin étant donné que j'ai laissé l'ancienne base compatible à 100% Bref, 31€ l'ensemble pour 25 années de bons et loyaux services, ça les mérite amplement ! Pour celles et ceux qui veulent pousser le vice à tout régler dans les moindres détails (Chasse petite et grande commission) il existe une vidéo de plus de 15mn très bien détaillée qui s'appelle "Installation et réglages mécanismes de chasse Optima 49 / Optima 50" que vous trouverez sur Youtube. Personnellement, la prochaine fois que j'aurais besoin d'acheter quelque chose lié au sanitaire, je me tournerais vers cette marque FRANCAISE, gage de qualité, de robustesse et surtout DE SUIVI DES RÉFÉRENCES !!
