Sometimes difficult to extract from bottle
Used this today on a dense cork. Insertion was difficult, needle nowhere near claimed lifeline of 300 insertions. Could not extract even after rotating needle in cork. Persisted but the needle pulled out of its screw in fitting. Got it out using a pair of pliers. Thankfully does not appear to have stripped threads as no apparent gas escape when tested. Anyone else had this problem

Perfect replacement needle
Bought to replace my original needle that broke due to accident. This was a straight up replacement and works perfectly with my coravin which I love. Recommended.

After breaking the needle on my Coravin while sticking it into a bottle of wine, I realized something! These needles don't last forever. I also realized that my old needle was getting dull and it was requiring more effort to push down into the cork, so that's probably why it finally broke. The new needle is sharper than a tack and easy to insert. It was easy to install and fit my Coravin perfectly. Hopefully I'll get 2-3 more years out of this one, but doubtful since I am now using the Coravin a lot more.
