Very comfortable and durable boots
I’ve had my 2.0 8” boots for 4 months now and wear them to work every day as a plumber and on my farm. My break in process was easy and comfortable compared to other boot brands. There was a slight adjustment to the weight of the boots compared to my previous set of Danner boots. I apply Hubbard shoe grease to them every 2-3 weeks to condition and soften the leather as well as maintain the waterproof status. I can’t recommend Hubbard show grease enough! It’s a great product to extend the longevity of your Chippewa boots. The only negative thing I can say about the boots is the vibram sole is a mud magnet but so are other boot soles. I still love them and fully expect these boots to last years instead of months compared to other brands like Danner and Redwing (per my experience with those brands)

11.D.Ok made Chippewa boots for being made in china
Well they aren't the made in USA or assembled in the USA with foreign parts they are made in China and sorry to say this but they intend to cut corners to reduce cost! Let's see how long they last is the real question? It's been almost a week since I've had these boots the left tongue on the left boot is bothering me now it's biting my shin I have to oil them soften the leather so if you buy these be sure to oil them out of the box and let them sit for a few hours and soak in use a good boot oil I use kiwi oil

Change out the insole and get thicker laces.
i wish more companies would make simple boots like these! i dont understand the negative reviews. i have zero issues with these. If you need a unlined, light/medium duty work boot with a grippy Vibram lug sole for summer work, BUY THESE! No-frills ,No gimmicks, — just a solid, simple, tough old school work boot. The only thing i changed right away was i upgraded the insole and get some leather boot laces. No these are not waterproof, but that's why i have a different pair for fall/winter. Yes they are made in China, but I've had no issues. I actually reached out to Chippewa and they are bringing back certain boots to USA production in late fall early winter of 2025.
