Perfect tool and what I needed
As a female homeowner, sometimes the challenges are just having the strength to remove nuts, washers, and things of that nature. That was the case when I was trying to remove my kitchen sink drain. I tried needle nose pliers, and screwdrivers to keep the basket from spinning and loosen the washer underneath. I saw this tool online and in the end, it gave me the leverage I needed to loosen the washer to get the old basket off. It's made of heavy steel and very sturdy. It made installing the new basket much easier too. All in all, I was very pleased it made the project work for me and I did not have to resort to calling a plumber. So glad I bought it!

Good quality/poor design!
Needs to be 2-3 inches longer so it can be used at top of strainer. The handle does not clear sink basin when inserted from top of sink. I used a screwdriver as the handle at the other end of wrench.

I wish I'd had this tool long before
This is one of those tools that has a very specific job. It's not intended, as some reviewers here seem to think, to turn the drain. It's meant to hold the drain in place, while you use a sink strainer lock nut wrench to turn the lock nut underneath the sink that secures the drain to the sink. That's incredibly useful because once the drain is detached from the tailpiece (the pipe immediately below the drain assembly), there's really nothing to provide the resistance needed to force the lock nut to turn around the drain's threads, so instead, the entire drain and lock nut just wants to spin in the hole in the sink, making things worse. So, you fit this guy into the bottom of the drain from the underside, position your lock nut wrench, and use one hand for each. It's perfect for that. (Last time I had a stuck lock nut, I ended up replacing the sink and drain, rather than trying to saw off the corroded drain at risk to my patience, sanity, and fingers. If I'd had this tool, I might have been less ambitious.)

Works okay.
I made one out of pvc pipe but a very stubborn tail piece nut cut the tangs off! This guy let me really put the torque on to break the tail piece nut loose. It saved me getting out the hacksaw! It could be a bit longer to use from the top. I used a big screwdriver in the tangs at the top to backup the torque on the install (working by myself). The provided handle works fine from the bottom.

Torsion bar is too low for it to be used with a deep strainer
Works well but the hole for the torsion bar is too low for it to be used with a deep strainer. I ended up having to run a screwdriver between the top slots. Awkward but worked.

Great tool, easy to use!
I was able to get in there and replace the OLD crumbly plumbers putty. This saved me a lot of money as whenever someone would shower in this bathroom, water would start filling up my kitchen floor on the other side of the bathroom!!! Problem corrected!!!

Not Very Long
The tool is okay, but it is not long enough to use from the top side. You will need to use it from underneath the sink while turning the wrench on the basket nut. Other than that, it works.
