The "Rexel 503654 No. 16 (24/6) 6mm Staples 25 Sheet Capacity (Pack of 5000)" are designed for and used in many Rexel staplers including some that use this size exclusively, although possibly otherwise in 8mm leg lengths, while others will optionally accept 56 gauge (26/6). A staple gauge is supposedly an accepted standard to be precisely followed by all manufacturers who use it. Unfortunately, experience with both staplers and staples of several brands appears to demonstrate that all are not created equal and some combinations are poorly suited with jams a probability. Rexel have a reason to state that the full product guarantee will apply only when that machine is fed with their own staples. Currently used in a Rexel plier-stapler, the 'Office Squale 56', they feed reliably and equally to Type 16 staples (26/6) used in the same machine and several others.
