Great kit - needs a few changes to be exceptional
Overall, great simple kit. It's truly a bare bones set up, but that's consistent with the price, and was great fun to assemble with my son. A few things are needed to make it better: 1) the small orange bushings that are used to secure the small metal posts that allow the front wheels to steer aren't tight enough, as such, we have to re-tighten them after about 15 minutes of driving around 2) the little glue stickers are neither easy to apply, or sticky enough. Why not just use the little screws everywhere, it would be much easier 3) the remote control range is too short - you need a better transmitter. 4) There should be a wooden handle part for the remote control. It's just hard to hold as is.

Good learning project
At first we were overwelmed with all the pieces. After we got started time flew by. We finished it around a hour . Very rewarding build. Not gonna last for ever, but for the price it's very cool. I like that the wheels turn. We ended up using the video to complete. Easier to follow than the paper instructions.

Works but little bit flimsy for the cost
It is OK toy to experiment with but gets worn out and flimsy in no time. Mechanical steering regulator is not functioning smoothly and that is where the weakness of whole construction. So your front tires get stocked in one position and you are doomed. Cheap materials.

Great kit for learning and customizing
This kit is really easy to put together. The instructions…. The pictures could be better. 2 instances I was like whatttt are the pictures saying and turns out it was just weird instructions and I fixed it. It comes with 2 motors. One for forward and back and one for side to side. All the parts were inside. Even a few extra screws. The connectors are kid friendly. You just push down and slide the wire in. So there is no actual need for trying to connect. I was able to alter this set up quite a bit. I honestly needed just the body and motors. So if you are looking to customize it you can do that with a little work. It is a fantastic price for everything you get. And it does work exactly as described.

Fun project for the money.
For the price, this is a great project. There were extras of the easily misplaced small parts. That was nice. Instructions were good. The controller and RC response of the car is primitive. No fine control of steering or speed. But it does move fast.

My kids loved it
So it's for ages 9+ well I had my kids do it (ages 6 and 4) with a little help from me, but mostly them. They enjoyed the building and then running the cars around. It's a good project and I recommend it! Just be prepared to help if your kids are under the recommend age.

STEM Remote control car
Purchased this for my 11 year old for Christmas, he found it easy to assemble, and is impressed with the functionality. It was the perfect gift as he loves to build and it was the perfect size to allow for rather quick assembly and easy to store when not in use.

Not very good
Poor design. When screws were tightened the motor wouldn't work and car wouldn't drive but when screws left loose then the bar that holds the wheels would droop and wheels were not straight. Also barely turning with remote control.
