Who would have thought ... scared cats away... so far so good
So I was sceptical but this was at the end of the day a bi-product that is essentially a natural fertiliser but I needed to get the cats away from my garden. I looked at the usual brands of chemical based products and I also didn’t want to plant curry plants as they can be over powering with their scent. So a friend told me about Lion and Tiger poo being used as a deterrent. So I paid my money and took my chance.First impression was ... it’s very expensive fertiliser if it doesn’t work... second thought was... zoos are happy to let anyone take this stuff away rather than land fill it... third was... why is it so expensive for such a small amount. Anyways thoughts away... off I went dropping a few pellets around, it does say to use sparingly ( thankfully at this cost and amount) remembering first to get rid of any presents left by previous visitors. So a week has gone by and yes, I know I’ve had visitors but I think they have just been passing cos I don’t seem to get any tell tail signs of visitations anymore. So the upshot is yes it works, yes it’s animal friendly, yes you don’t get much in a box but you don’t need to scatter it like grass seed either, and yes it’s not cheap but not much more than generic chemical based repellents. Would I buy it again? If the results persist to the extent of only needing to buy one box a year to educate the feline neighbours then it’s a yes but only time will tell. So far so good

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - This is just an expensive fertilizer.
This product is a total waste of money for repelling cats. I have surveillance cameras and after applying more than what should have been required I have seen on the camera recordings that it has no effect whatsoever. The cats (all 4) just walked over this fertiliser showing no sign of concern. I think that the fact that the packaging only describes this product as a "NITROGEN BASED FERTILIZER" (CLEARLY AMERICAN). So if you are thinking of buying this then what you are getting is an expensive fertiliser NOTHING ELSE. The packaging also states "The pellets are soaked in real essence of lion dung" NOTE the word ESSENCE and there is no reference to this in the ingredients. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY BUYING THIS, IT DOES NOT WORK !!!!!!

It stops the cats pooping
My neighbours cats have been pooping on my lawn for the last 13 years and they have now finally stopped thanks to this stuff. I had hoped it would stop the cats from visiting my garden altogether because of my allergies but to be fair they visit less often and now that they're not pooping on my lawn I don't need to take an allergy tablet just from going out to cut the grass every time. I advise anyone who buys this not to sniff it when they open it, I did out of curiosity and it really made my eyes water.

Fantastic product, used against badgers and cats
This product worked for me, I am so pleased as I had laid a new lawn and I had cats messing on it but worse the badgers kept on peeling it back to get at the worms and bugs underneath. I have put this product every few inches and I've not seen or seen the effect of either animal. I did find the product had a really strong ammonia smell but I am not bothered by it and I cannot detect it now its outside. A little goes a long way if used correctly and remember to wear gloves when putting it down to avoid contamination of your own scent.

Not exactly work
Initially seems to work but after few days my cat was not bother by it and even trying cover places with own "marks". So, no. Not working for me.

as wasted otherwise, over all areas needing protection
A very effective deterrent for cats, IF you remove any 'cat deposits' left previously & some of the earth below,to remove as much scent from cats poo, as possible prior to spreading, & remove from the garden, not in compost . Scatter pellets openly , not over thick,as wasted otherwise ,over all areas needing protection. You will need to replace after heavy rain , as it degrades when wet, & avoid watering plants directly over the pellets. Our grit path & boarders attracted no end of cats until we used this,& had no more 'parcels' left when used in the way described. I think this ought to be clearer on the packet, but this is how I found it really effective. One packet lasted a year on a 30' x 13' garden , path, grass & all.Only a slight smell after rain, but far preferable to the cats stinking poo! I had a fruit & herb garden so needed the cats off.Hope this helps.

Snake Oil .. Does nothing to deter cats
Absolutely useless product, we put it down and the cat was back in less that 5 minutes….. worst still you can’t even return it for a refund !!!
