Pretty good... not quite 5 stars though...
This stuff is not bad. Not quite 5 stars though. I have included a before and after of the frame of my front door which was very, very rusty, due to the displacement of the seal around the frame. The 'after' was after two thin coats of the rust converter, with an hour's drying time in between. Though runny, the liquid is quite easy to apply. Firstly, as other reviewers have stated, pour a small amount onto/into a separate container - I used a teacup saucer. This prevents any contamination of the remaining unused liquid. Before applying, lightly remove any surface rust with gentle sanding. Apply in thin coats with a small artists brush, if you are covering a small area like me. Leave to dry. I would suggest at least 30 minutes - then apply another coat if necessary. Though the liquid did not quite convert all the rust to the required smooth surface area I was hoping for the results were pretty good. It remains to be seen how it performs in the long-term...

Easy to use and effective
Kurust has been available for years. It has lasted the test of time because it is easy to use, works visibly and quickly and you can overpaint it in 3 hours. I've tried all the various rust cures. Some are fussy, some work over 24 hours, some require rinsing off, some are slow and some don't do much at all. I've not found anything better than this one. You do need to overpaint it when cured and Hammerite paint is probably the best to use.
