Creamy Almond Butter filled Squares
4.12.23~ 'TCHO' chocolate has been a hit/miss with me. As a plant-based eater but Not Vegan, just want Good chocolate. TCHO bag of baking chocolate is delicious nibbles. The Toffee was weird. Maybe Coconut butter shouldn't be in chocolate? This 'Aww Nuts' version may be the Middle Ground. Description at the time I ordered wasn't clear it was Almond butter Filled Chocolate. Said "Almond butter" & thought they were having another go at Plant-based blends. Quite a delicious surprise of 1.5" dark chocolate squares filled with creamy butter. In each box is 3 individually wrapped bars in paper. Each bar is 3 squares, bc sometimes you need a square (or more) While I like the Eco-friendly version of paper wrapped, may affect freshness. Same thing happened with toffee squares. Some bits were crumbly & discolored. These almond butter filled bites are good enough for anyone regardless of diet. As long as you understand 'TCHO' plant based means compromise. Is it going to be creamy & stay fresh for months? Nope but it is tasty.

Easy snack.
Love these. Hard to find locally. One section gets me all the way to dinner during the day.

This seller sold inedible product. My order is not eligible for return the day after delivery!!
I've purchased this product before and loved it. The almond butter should be soft and creamy, and the chocolate dark and shiney. This looks like the product was handled in a way that ruined it, it's all dry and powdery in the middle. It tastes terrible. I'm very frustrated it's not eligible for return or refund given the fact it's not edible.

Disappointingly old chocolate, stale flavor
Although I have had this TCHO chocolate before, I have to say the chocolate sold here is quite old and tastes like it. Compared to my previous experiences with TCHO, the bars in my package were all clearly quite old and dusty looking. They also tasted quite old and the chocolate was stale. The flavor was completely ruined by aging. The almond butter in the middle was more of a crumbly texture than I remember - almost powdery. Overall a big let down since I know TCHO chocolate is usually better than this - the seller really needs to make sure that they are selling fresher products.

Non-Dairy Dark Chocolate Bars with Almond-Butter Filling
The ingredient list of these non-dairy dark-chocolate bars feature almonds in three ways: almond butter (the filling), almond protein (mixed in somewhere), and diced almonds (I didn't detect them -- too tiny -- but presumably mixed in with the chocolate, the filling, or both). They do not contain any dairy or artificial sweeteners. The chocolate itself was decent, though not enough to make a strong impression, and the filling was fine, not overly sweet as in a name-brand peanut butter cup. This was a "hard" chocolate, not smooth and creamy like milk chocolate. Each 2.5 thin-cardboard box contains three individually wrapped bars, each of which was scored to be broken into three square chunks, so the packaging lends itself very well to portion control. However, the individual bars all had a white haze or discoloration, making them look old or perhaps damaged by overheating, such that I would be a bit embarrassed offering them to others. One of the bars (pictured) had some light orange discoloration at the edges, which I attribute to the filling leaking out, but I only saw this in one bar. I don't know if these defects in appearance affected the taste. Before evaluating these myself, I had offered these to five guests after a recent dinner party, and got these evaluations and comments: Guest 1 - taste was mediocre compared to other brands of dark chocolate. Guest 2 - bars had very little smooth or buttery taste which would have been preferred. Guest 3 - the chocolate texture was consistently too hard. Guest 4 - looked up the price and thought it was too expensive (IMO, because they have a "virtue" premium) Guest 5 - found no salty taste even though the products states “sea salt” in the ingredients list. All -- said they would not purchase this product on their own. All -- noticed "bloom" evident on the chocolate, which looks like white spots on the surface. This can often happen when chocolate is out of date. While these bars may not have been brand new, they were consumed over five months before their expiration date of 9/23/23. All -- very much liked the better-than-average packaging. Keep in mind that these bars are non-dairy, and none of the tasters (including me) have a dietary need to avoid dairy. So, none of us have the experience to compare these bars with other non-dairy products. What I can say is that these bars are unlikely to be competitive in taste, texture, and price with dairy-based choices. If you have the need for non-dairy, I'd say try these, your experience may vary.

A tasty treat. Not too bitter. Not too sweet.
I'm usually on the fence about dark chocolate, but I enjoy these bars quite a bit. The flavor of the chocolate blends well with the almond butter. From the description, I was expecting the almond butter to be creamier and more pronounced, but I think the layer is too thin for that. I also expected a little more salty notes. It's there subtly, but not as distinct salty flakes. It still works for me as a total package with the nutty flavor and hint of saltiness enough to balance the bitterness. These are definitely NOT super sweet bars, but I like it. I like that each pack contains 3 small individually wrapped bars, making it easier to snack on just a square or two without having to leave a giant bar unwrapped. They are pricey bars, but it feels like a quality product.

Smooth dark chocolate
This candy comes packed as 3 individual bars per pack. I like this. I can save some for later without risking it getting stale. It also keeps me from eating the entire 2.5 ounce package in one sitting. I liked the flavor. It is a smooth dark chocolate with a buttery center and a touch of sea salt. Although it is dark chocolate, it's not bitter. More likely the almond butter balances it out.
