Can i replace my texecom dcb-0001 veritas excel remote lcd keypad with this one so i can use proximity tags

Hi, the Premier keypad is compatible with the Premier panel only. In order to use the proximity tags, both the keypad and the panel has to be Premier (Excel will not work).

Does this just wire into the alarm panel? If so, does the cable come in the box

This just wire into the Texecom alarm panel but of course it is not physically attached to the alarm panel. It can be wall mounted adjacent to it or at a remote distance in the property, normally near entry / exit point. It uses standard standard alarm cable for connection which is not supplied with it.

Does this work with a Premier elite wireless panel? Can you use it to add wireless devices etc

Yes it does work and yes can be used to program devices on to the system

Not exactly a product to buy speculatively, though our installer uses Texecom for his commercial customers. Good news is that it does what we wanted, bad news is that it was needed to replace a 4-year old display where the proximity function stopped working!
