I found out about this sunscreen through Angie from her Hot and Flashy YouTube channel. She did a video earlier this year where she covered a bunch of different products to find her favorite (face) sunscreen. She did at least 20! High end and drugstore, and this was her favorite, so naturally I had to try it! And she was right, this is a great product, especially for a barrier sunscreen. The barrier ingredients used in the US are inferior to the Europe and Asia, so that makes them difficult to blend and often dry with a white cast. This product both blends well and does not dry my skin out. It is hydrating too, which is great for my dry sensitive skin. The light shade is pretty light, and there is a pretty big difference between that and the medium. So depending on the of the year, I may use one or the other, or do a blend of the two. I also love that I can wear this on its own if I don't feel like wearing makeup and it leaves just a hint of tinted coverage. Since this is a hydrating sunscreen, it does leave a dewy glow on its own. I would suggest still using a primer on top of it if you plan to wear foundation. I have repurchased this three times already, so it has become a staple in my daily routine. Great prod uct! Please don't discontinue it, Neutrogena!!

This is one of the best tinted mineral sunscreens I’ve found in this price range, and I’ve been happily subscribing to it for about a year. I use it daily—whether I’m staying in or heading outside—and it consistently performs well. I really appreciate that it’s fragrance-free and essential oil-free—huge bonus for sensitive skin. There’s no noticeable odor, and it blends in smoothly. Texture & Finish: It has a watery, lightweight consistency that feels a little oily at first—not greasy, just lightly moisturizing. Once it dries down, it leaves a soft, glowy finish that evens out my skin tone without looking cakey or chalky. There's no white cast, which is rare for mineral sunscreens! I do need to blot or lightly powder it later in the day, especially in warmer weather, but I don’t mind the glow—it gives a healthy skin look. Coverage & Wear: I’m not a foundation person, so the sheer coverage this provides is perfect for me. It has a neutral undertone that leans a little pink in the light shade, which works for my skin tone. In winter, I mix the light and medium shades; in summer, I wear medium alone. It stays true to color—no oxidation, no strange orange tint. It layers beautifully under concealer, too—no pilling or patchiness. Everything sits smoothly on top. Bonus Points: Water-resistant for up to 80 minutes—great for light activity or hot days. Doesn’t clog pores or cause breakouts for me. Blends into my skincare routine effortlessly. Why I Gave 4 Stars: I do wish the SPF were a little higher. And while it works well for me, I wouldn’t recommend it for someone with very oily skin, since the glow could slide into shiny territory without some blotting. Also, sometimes it can leak out the cap when stored upside down. Final Thoughts: If you want a clean, comfortable, mineral sunscreen with sheer coverage and a natural glow, this is a fantastic option. It’s one of the few I keep coming back to—and that says a lot!

I am very happy I found this sunscreen. The best thing about it there is no white cast, so as long as you matched your skin color, there is no need to cover it with makeup. Some people recommend mixing light and medium, but I am perfectly happy with medium. It is very liquid-y, but I like it, it makes it very easy to spread, and it absorbs quickly. It feels a little oily right after application, but once absorbed it feels normal. I have normal skin. I bought it on Amazon on sale for $12, normally it’s $18, but much cheaper on eBay. There are 2 things that I wish were improved. First - if you travel, the packaging is inadequate, the sunscreen always seeps out and it’s super messy. Second - I wish the company made it available in 50+ SPF

I left this product unused in my cabinet for a long time, because the leaky tube is so aggravating. The product itself is light, smooth, and subtle—in word: perfect (your mileage may vary). Would buy again if the dispensing mechanism were redesigned.

Neutrogena Purescreen+ Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 is an excellent option if you are looking for a facial sunscreen with softer ingredients and without aggressive chemicals. Its 100% mineral formula, with zinc oxide as an active ingredient, offers good protection against UVA / UVB rays, and is ideal for sensitive skin or prone to irritation. What I liked the most is that it does not contain fragrance and feels very light on the skin. It absorbs relatively quickly and does not leave that sticky or heavy feeling that some mineral sunscreens have. However, as is common with physical filters, it can leave a slight white residue, especially in darker skin tones, although this is minimized if you apply it well and in small quantities. It is suitable for use under makeup, does not clog pores and does not irritate my skin (which is quite reactive). In addition, being part of the Purescreen+ line, it is formulated without oxibenzone or parabens, which is a plus for those looking for cleaner and more environmentally friendly options. In short, a reliable, safe and gentle sunscreen. It's not perfect, but it's a great daily option if your priority is to take care of your skin with a more natural formula

I've tried multiple tinted mineral sunscreens and this is my favorite. The tint blends with my skin tone, it isn't too heavy, it washes off without too much effort and it is neither too matte nor too shiny. I don't understand the complaints about the tube. It works like a tube. No problem.

I absolutely love this sunscreen. It blends well, heavy enough to go just on its own for me and still look like I did some makeup. But PLS for the love of god FIX THE PACKAGING. I’ve had three bottles so far and they all leak all over the place. Even one I bought was already leaking when I removed it from the packaging. It’s a minor annoyance when it happens at home but I traveled last week and had to throw it out because it was such a disaster.
