JBL Boombox 3 - Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Squad (Renewed)

The Boombox 3 delivers a noticeably deeper bass compared to the Extreme & Boombox 2. Even though the frequency range is virtually the same and the signal to noise ratios are both >80dB between the Boombox designs, the Boombox 3 delivers a better overall consistent performance. The previous sound distortion of the Boombox2 is mitigated with a dedicated 7.4 x 4.5” sub which delivers a deeper low end punch and a well rounded mid-range. Although it doesn’t reach the same volume levels as the Boombox 2, it has much less distortion at maximum volume, resulting in far more crisp & clear audio when turned up to the maximum volume. The power is simply impressive as you seem to experience far more immersive sound range.We purchased the Boombox 3 to take on our camping trips and to entertain guests during our backyard house parties. The last time we rented an AirBnB, it became an excellent resource for the power bank too. And it’s pretty stylish too; what a great looking device.The verdict is that it’s a more robust speaker compared to most of the competition. From the new three way design of the speakers to the 180W output, the Boombox 3 is a choice upgrade on performance alone. The durability is what really sold us on it though. This speaker feels indestructible and with a dust & waterproof rating of IP67, it might as well be.

Looks brand new. Sound quality is exceptional, but the mid range can sound a little canned in some songs. The battery must be holding its own, since I've only charged the first time out of the box. A week later of heavy use and the power indicator light is only at 50%. It's a bit pricey, but the bigger sound when used outside is worth it. Unit is a little heavy, but what boombox wasn't/isn't heavy. If you can find this on sale or a refurbished unit, I'd definitely recommend this blue tooth speaker.

I would never imagine that this was refurbished. In the factory box, factory wrapping, and even the box looked brand new! Works perfectly, loud as can be, bass is fantastic…fully recommend

first off, when i got it in it's original box, it had at least been opened. but when i opened it up, it was still wrapped in the original foam sheet and so was the power cord. both the cord and speaker had that new plastic-like smell like when you just bought a fresh new electronic device. everything was in perfect condition. so thanks guys i saved a little money on a new speaker (around $320 when i purchased this June 21st).now for a product review.i've had this thing about 3 weeks and i'm impressed every time i use it. i mostly use it at work and i work with a small crew of people in a fairly noisy environment. we all love it and it truly cuts through in a loud environment with an impressive range of bass and the boost in the treble region really comes through clear over things like constant electrical hum and various machinery being used. this is a great speaker for anywhere sorta noisy or outdoors.indoor listening in an otherwise quiet environment is good too. my only complaint would be that the boost in that treble region i mentioned feels kind of harsh. if you use the JBL app to turn down the treble 1 notch, it feels like you pulled back the highs a bit too much and still sounds a little harsh. personally i didn't buy this for indoor listening i have a good floor sub and decent speakers. overall i feel this speaker is made to go places or be in a loud warehouse or something like that. even great for a little house party.now for bass. it obviously has areas in the low frequencies where it's more resonant than others but it does get quite low especially for it's size. it gets low enough for basically any music in my opinion. but those super low bass sounds that you can mostly only feel instead of hear from a good sized floor sub, just isn't really there. but of course for the portability and everything it does more than enough.lastly battery life. i'd say if you're playing it around 70-80% you're probably gonna get about 5 hours. 70% is pretty loud and considering the bass this thing pushes, 5 hours is still impressive to me.is it worth it? for me absolutely i love this speaker. i'd recommend if you think you're gonna take it to a noisy environment and actually use it like it was intended.

I bought this boombox to use in camp and it was INCREDIBLE! First of all the sound quality is amazing, I tried out some songs with strong bass some songs with complicated electric guitar sounds and it came out insanely good, like I could actually hear every detail of the instrument. Then the sound was also really loud especially when played indoors, it would fill every corner of the room with aound, and even outside you could hear it a long way off. And this is all in a speaker which is very easy to carry (also, i bought a strap to wear it separately, i would suggest that) and walk around with since it's relatively small compared to some of those huge speakers, and it has a nice handle to hold it with. I also hear that it was waterproof so I chucked it in the lake and it continued playing while deep under water, so I stuck my head under and was able to hear it under the water, but at one point it shut off due to a safety feature, and once I pulled it out of the water it continued playing. It also floats in the water, so you can let it chill in the water while playing music. It also has a pretty long battery life, it lasted me like 5 to 6 hours daily on full blast. It also has a usb charging port so you can charge your phone.It is a little bulky and heavy compared to the small jbl speakers, but compared to the average speaker that has such sound capabilities, it is very easy to walk around with.I would suggest anyone to buy this speaker if you are looking for a powerful and easily movable speaker!!!

Ordered black, but recieved camouflage. The speaker still looks, sounds, and works like new for a cheaper price. Everything you would expect comes in the box. I also support repair instead of replace, so this is a no brainer.

Sound is phenomenal. JBL did this right. It’s portable but not light. I am looking at the straps to use when carrying. Powers up great and is Bluetooth easy.
