Expectations are a funny thing. When I placed my order for this camera, I thought I was simply purchasing a standalone unit. To my surprise—and perhaps because I didn’t read the fine print closely enough—what arrived was a comprehensive installation kit that left absolutely nothing to chance. ​ ​The most immediate surprise was the inclusion of a custom-sized drill bit. It’s rare to find a manufacturer that anticipates the physical setup to that degree. This flush mount backup camera includes a hole punch drill attachment intended for installation. The camera is designed to mount directly into the vehicle surface rather than using an external bracket. The included drill attachment matched the size needed for the camera housing. Installation required basic wiring knowledge. After routing and connecting the wires, the camera fit into the drilled opening as expected and sat flush once secured. The components were packaged together and arrived intact. The camera functions as described once connected to the display. The image was visible when the vehicle was placed in reverse, and there were no immediate issues with signal or mounting after installation. This camera may be suitable for those familiar with automotive wiring who are looking for a flush mount option with the necessary installation hardware included. It looks super clean once installed properly and was compatible with my aftermarket radio.

I just installed this on my 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty to be able to see what's directly in FRONT of my truck to avoid bumping another car or object while parking or driving forward. The 2016 F-250 conveniently has A/V jacks in the storage compartment on top of the dash so connecting to my existing system was a breeze. I also wanted to be able to turn the camera on and off with ease so I connected it to the number 4 up-fitter switch which is a 10 amp circuit. The picture quality is very good for the price of this camera but does have faint lines that appear on the screen but not enough to really make any difference. If you want to use it for FRONT VIEW just follow the directions and snip the white and green loops. One thing I should mention is that the camera has a TOP side but it is not marked. Had my wife to sit in the truck to watch the image while I turned the camera to get it in proper alignment. We'll see how long the camera holds up. As mentioned in other reviews the wire is tiny 18 gauge wire which could be a problem with getting cut due to constant vibration. I also opted to solder the power connections due to the size of the wire. Overall I am very pleased with the camera's operation and clean installation on my Truck. I do recommend this camera. UPDATE: THE A/V JACKS ON THE F-250 ONLY WORK IN PARK. TURNS OFF IN DRIVE!!!! I subsequently purchased a small dash mount video display here on Amazon that works perfectly. Now I can see the front of my truck while driving. I wired the video screen into the power for the camera and now all I have to do is flip the #4 upfitter switch on my F-250 to get a perfect front view. Can't beat this for the money, even at 3 or 4 times this price. In fact, a prominent car audio website sells a version that looks identical to this camera, but charges $50 for it. Camera quality is fantastic, looks OEM when flush mount installed, provides clear images both day and night (albeit not HD - but my head unit doesn't display HD anyway - it's more than good enough for backup purposes). Install was pretty straightforward. The drill bit that came with it was of surprising quality (much better than the bits shown in photos of competing units). Finally, I can't say enough good about the customer support, I messaged them via Amazon and the response was quick, fully addressed my question, had quick follow up on a subsequent question, and offered further support as needed. Refreshing.

It performs adequately for the price that's for sure. I chose to flush mount it in the sheet metal, the clips seem to be designed to hold it into plastic such as a bumper something a bit thicker than the thin sheet metal it was an easy fix I just used a bit of silicone to stabilize it. The hole saw that it comes with works well. I like the wide angle it's wider than my original camera I certainly didn't expect an HD image and definitely is not high resolution but it's good enough I haven't tested it at night yet my main desire was to have a wide angle mounted up high on the back door of my construction van and it seems to work fine for this purpose. It's a little grainy as the camera turns on and turns off but functions normally otherwise. If I had paid more money I would be giving it four stars however for the price and how complete the kit was I'm happy with this purchase I got what I needed at a super cheap price if you're looking for a top-notch quality or HD you're not going to find that here. If you want a super affordable camera with more than one mounting option and all the necessary stuff to install it included then this is your camera. I have yet to test night time...
