Siamp 32500007 Optima 50 Flushing Mechanism, White

Bought this to replace an existing one and it was super easy to swap out. It fitted perfectly into our cistern and works exactly as required. Will buy again if needed.

Easy to fit in a very confined space. A lot cheaper than calling out the plumber. Website provides fitting videos which helped a lot.

Great item for a direct replacement. No need to keep the carrier (bottom section) as if you have a previous one fitted, just quarter turn to inlock the top section and swap over with the new section. No instructions so was a little confused as the water level was lower than the central overflow tube but you have to cut the centre tube with a fine tooth saw/hacksaw when you have determined the correct overflow height. The graduation son the side of the central tube give you a guide. Easy fit, ten mins plus sawing time. Reconnect up the push button and all good.

Perfect fit, sorted out our troubled bog. No more festering waste :)

Key fact - these are supposed to come with a 10 year guarantee but there is no where to register the guarantee so how do you prove the age of old unit if it fails within 10 years? Did you keep the receipt? Did your plumber give you a receipt for the flush unit? I have now had to replace this flush for a third time in - 12 years. They fail every time where the flush cable attaches to the side of the flush tube, one of the two small (weak) plastic lugs that hold the cable in place breaks off and the cable comes away. It’s a design fault that needs addressing ( add a bit more strength here Siamp - easy fix during manufacturing) The unit is easy to swap- 1/4 turn anti-clockwise ( like an old lightbulb) and off it comes. The new one fits in the same way - easy. If Siamp could fix the design fault or sort out the so called “10 year guarantee” then this would get 5 stars but until these things are fixed it gets only 3 stars because you may find yourself replacing this flush unit every 5 years or so.

I purchased this to replace an old model as the toilet kept flushing. It was easy to twist the old flush valve out and replace with new. Now no flushing issues and works well. Only point i would make is that the cord is slightly shorter that the old one. In addition, I had to use a hack saw to reduce the height of the overflow due to the size of my cistern. I have attached a photo of the old version to help.

Very pleased with item,took me around 5 mins to fit, the wife very happy,no foul language needed.

Works perfectly, and only took a minute or two to install because I was replacing an older model whose base/seat is compatible with this model. The cable-based button makes it much easier to install and to lift the cistern lid in case I need to access the mechanism in the future. Replacing the flush valve myself saved the costs of buying a new toilet and hiring a plumber. It couldn't have been easier.

Je l'ai installé grâce à la vidéo de la marque qui est très claire (un monsieur avec un noeud papillon et des bretelles). La notice en français est à chercher sur le site de la marque également. Le chasse d'origine était une SIAMP aussi et comme celle-ci a duré 16 ans, j'ai repris la même marque. 1°/ Une petite déception : cela n'est pas fourni avec une clé de serrage de la bague à visser sous le réservoir, j'ai du en acheter une qui me resservira. J'ai cru alors que le produit n'était pas étanche quand je vidais la chasse. En fait, mes toilettes avaient un coude de chasse en plastique qui avait un joint qui est resté dans le pied du WC au démontage et que je n'avais pas vu laissant passer toute l'eau. 2°/ Mon ouverture dans le couvercle du réservoir pour le bouton pression était supérieur au tableau de la marque (5 cm) mais la rosace s'adaptait quand même. 3°/ Attention aux joints blancs à serrer sous le réservoir d'eau sur les vis qui le maintiennent: si vous serrez trop fort ils peuvent se couper. Les joints doivent s'étaler un peu pour garantir une étanchéité. Sinon très bon produit, fonctionnant très bien et étanche. Dommage qu'il ne soit pas livré avec une clé de serrage plus pratique qu'une clé pélican.
