great quality pastels and value for money

This is a good beginner set with a nice range of colours. Very soft and blendable but leaves a lot of dust. Works well on dark toned paper.

Having used these pastels on an art course I decided to purchase a pack for my personal use, the colour selection is limited, but with the use of blending the colours you are looking for can be produced. They are dusty, and they do break, this is not a bad thing as it enable you to have more control over how you use them. They are comfortable to hold, they look good, and they are fun to use. Blendability is good as mentioned, it is best though to use a fixative after a few layers to add more and also to hold in place the art you have created.

Good range of 36 colours great value for money.

The pastels were fine quality and good colour range, but they are deceptively small - the outer box makes them look much bigger.

Bought for my Niece who's doing a collage portrait for Tudor day . Learning new techniques along the way . Needed pastels for Queen Elizabeths face … white for the lead used to whiten face with a little beige and pale pink . With practice the result was good . Good quality pastels . Good selection of colours

These chalks are perfect for what I needed them for! I did some water marbling with them which I have done in the past. I will be using them to do drawings with too

These were recommended to me by a fellow artist. Being my first time working in pastels, I found them to be very workable. I wish I had purchased the larger assortment, as there are not enough colours in the 36 pack. I do wish they had come in better storage packaging. They are set in a cardboard bottom with a flimsy plastic cover.
