Jolly Phonics Tricky Word Hat

In my lessons I am always looking for ways to help make my lessons more exciting and difficult concepts easier to understand. I always dread teaching the children the Tricky Words as they have so much fun learning all the phonetical sounds and their actions and songs that when they reach the stage where they have to learn and REMEMBER the Tricky Words I want to continue to make it fun and interesting so that they are continually motivated to learn. The Tricky Word Hat provides this. In my class it appears to take away the nervousness of learning the difficult words and turn it into a fun game which children want to play and therefore continue their learning. This hat helps make learning fun! (as with most Jolly Phonics resources).

A good prop to increase intrest when learning phonics. Fits childrens heads great, but a bit tight on mine (Have I just got a big head?) Colourful and well made of a meterial that will allow velco to stick to it, to attach tricky words. WARNING You do not get the words with it! The jolly phonics tricky word wall flower are a good size and colourful to supplement this item. Used at home with my daughter and at school in reception clas, both recieved it very well.
