I've had two of these chairs in the past and both had the same issue. This chair was given to me by the company to promote and it's one of their more expensive lines. Sadly it's in generic red and not purple loke my last one that was their base line. But the both has the same problem the lift went out. So the chair it's self is very comfortable and this one has the Bluetooth speakers in it so I be damned if I was gonna throw out a FREE BLUETOOTH ENABLED CHAIR. If I get another chair by then I am definitely going to be buying this along side it to use instead of the stock cylinder give. The old one was a pain to get out but easy to install the new one once it was out in. I can definitely tell a difference because this one is def more study than the original one.

Original bought the chair from biglots at local store, chair from day one has these issue where moment i sat in drop bought half inch and popped up when i got up it also creep down slowly at random whiling sitting in it, i ignored it cause was not bad and the chair was comfortable in last month starting 5-01-2023 it start sinking 1-2 inchs just from me sitting in it and sinking while sitting in it alot to point i would have pull the lever just to make go back up which wasn't making it go up ( had to pull up) On 6-10-2023 the lift was lost on cylinder. So I bought it next day it was sale go figure. New cylinder works great for now ( and i hope permanently), I only way 110lbs this rated for 1000lbs so this should have zero issue any time soon i hope. Seeing I spent 30 minutes the other day just removing the old cylinder, This was easy to install, put one end into wheel side and other in to chair ( dont forget to remove cap on top cylinder so will go up when pulling the lever). Now the chairs max height was bout 1" higher then the old cylinder, but I adjusted it to height needed, I now have zero drop in height when I sit in it. and staying at height i need. Was not really happy that box that cylinder was in was open cylinder fell out box as grab box out brown bag it was in and plastic bag the cylinder was in was open too the rest of plastic bag in it where sealed. And seeing as I need cylinder I just use it as it didnt look damaged If it goes bad I will update

Just as described. Exactly what I needed. Finally I can keep a chair I love. No more disposing of chairs I love because the chair cylinder failed. Cost effective solution to a simple problem. The average person may not have a plumber's wrench at home to help remove the failed cylinder on their chair in order to replace it with a new one. This product didn't come with any instructions, but YouTube provides easy directions on how to replace the failed part. My chair is as good as new now.

It was very easy to install, once I removed the old hydraulic pump. I highly suggest watching a tutorial for removal. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. I hope the pump last longer than the one that came with my gaming chair.

This was a chair saver. My office chair had sunk to the bottom and was about to be tossed when I found this repair kit . It saved me from having to buy a new chair and was very easy to install. It has great stability and is very easy to adjust.

I used this particular cylinder to replace the leaking one on my 6 year old Serta "Big & Tall' office chair. Removing the old cylinder from the chair base was the hardest part, but after reinstallation it worked perfectly... almost! The only downside is that the chair sits almost as tall as it did on the new lowest setting as it did on the medium/high setting on the original. That being said, i cannot lower it to push it under my desk anymore, and fully extended, my feet are easily off the ground (im 6'2") Not a huge downfall, but be sure to measure your original cylinder size before ordering a new one if you want to retain the original height and settings. That being said, it really is a good, high quality piece that fit the base of my chair perfectly. I just wish it sat a little lower, but i can live with it versus replacing my chair completely.

Followed the instructions provided under the product specifications and easily replaced the component. Works perfectly fine and better than the existing one i had in the chair. Highly recommend if you are looking to buy.

Hola, he comprado este cilindro para una silla que compre y me llego sin cilindro, ya puse este cilindro y no se si no le quedo o lo estoy instalando mal pero no hace la elevacion. Le mando fotos para que me indique si estoy haciendo algo mal o es que no es de la medida para la silla. (Creo que debo quitarle ese como tapon verde pero no quiero hacerlo sin estar segura).

Arrived with no instructions - I googled it to find out how to remove old cylinder and installed this new one....ended up with a chair that does not adjust in height or bounces a bit for a soft landing. At least it does not shrink down when I'm working on it. I bought a more expensive version so I was hoping for better. At least it swivels and is set a height I can use - and the white trim matches the chair. Disappointed with Staples for selling me a chair that had a hydraulic that wore out within a year and not impressed with the replacement I purchased here for more money.
