Great book with lots of names.
The book has a fantastic range of names, with description etc. Certain islamic names were not present, so not sure which school of thought this is from.

This is great!
I love this book of names only thing I would change is adding the pronunciations I speak English and I had to have my Arabic speaking husband help me out with how to say thing correctly but all in all I’d still give 5 stars

The author clearly just wanted to make some easy cash
You’re better off going online and finding a poorly scrapped together “baby names” list off the internet. This isn’t much better.Issue 1: It’s lacking in both pronunciation, as well as spelling in Arabic. For those of us who can speak it, an English spelling of an Arabic name is useless because the English alphabet just can’t transcribe all the sounds we have in the language.Issue 2: the ”translations” are inaccurate (or at least lack a note to explain why they chose to translate a name in a particular way) For example Yahya is better translated to John…the authors really made a huge leap in arriving at another (inaccurate) translation. It seems like the author just wanted to make a quick buck by making a list of baby names for parents who don’t know any better. This book is very poorly put together and poorly researched. If you’re getting this book to name a child, please get something worth your money.

Good but missing the pronunciation!
It’s fantastic to have such an extensive list of traditional and modern names but, unfortunately, I wasn’t sure how to pronounce many of them. Some Arabic sounds don’t have English equivalents, for a start, not to mention stress patterns etc.. It would have really helped if the author included the phonetic pronunciation for each name, as well as the actual Arabic spelling. Maybe also a note on whether a particular name is considered old-fashioned nowadays, or which region of the large Arab world a particular name is more common in, if applicable..
