Perfect and did the job

It was fairly easy to fit, you do need to get some large jubilee clips. It does work, but there are problems, when we had some strong winds the shutter went "over centre" and jammed open. I put a small screw in to stop it going too far. When the shutter is open as much as it will go, there is still some restriction to the flow of air. It is a bit noisy when the wind is gusty, opening and closing.

Put this in our kitchen extractor fan vent to stop cold air in the coming in from outside. Read some reviews that people had found this rattling a bit when in the vent hose but haven't found these issues for us. Works well and significant drop in the cold air coming in through especially during windy and cold winter days. Worth the money for a quick DIY fix.

Perfect for joining 2 pieces of round pipe

2 main problems: 1. The overall manufacturing quality of the product was not as I would have hoped. The plastic molding is poor with a jagged part jutting out of the flap in an area which could potentially interfere with it's closure. See photo. 2. I found that the flap does not swing freely even before being fitted, and there is some resistance even to gravity. If the product is compressed slightly from the outside then the flap does not swing at all and can be held in an open position. Considering that the movement of the flap will only get worse as the product inevitably collects dust and grime I elected not to fit this product and fitted a competitor product of the same mechanism which seemed immediately better quality and performance. N.B. I did bought a second one of these as I wondered if it was a blip but both were the same and were returned.

Fits perfectly

I installed this in a vertical duct above my cooker hood. I was getting cold draughts coming in during the winter and this completely solved that problem. There was one small issue in that when mounted vertically it is possible for the flap to open more than 90 deg, tip past the vertical and then stick in the open position. I added a small screw to prevent it opening more than about 85 deg and this seemed to fix that issue.

Good product

Made of thin abs plastic. I thought they would be more durable for the price. If I didn't need them I would have returned them.

scarsa la tenuta in controflusso, nel mio caso ho risolto con serranda motorizzata con flap dotato di guarnizioni di tenuta ....... che ha ben altro costo rispetto a questa serranda di plastica. piuttosto che niente meglio piuttosto, ma non aspettativi chissà quali prestazioni, per quello che costano un tentativo fatelo, magari per le vostre esigenze sono sufficienti.

It fits the standard 100mm pipe snugly and does the job very well.

Fácil de instalar si el tubo es de las dimensiones adecuadas. En mi caso el tubo era un par de milímetros mayor y lo he colocado con un poco de cinta para fijar e impedir paso de aire. Lo he combinado con extractores que ya tenía y también en ventilación pasiva con el tubo en horizontal, va perfecto.
