I ordered this for the extra length of the handle and the mention of "heavy duty". So far, both seem to be apt descriptions. It is lightweight, even when all the handle lengths are added. The handle sections screw together tightly, and the handle in it's longest configuration doesn't flex or come apart. An observation, not a complaint: As denoted as "sturdy", the tines are pretty rigid, not flimsy-flexible like most leaf rakes, and are also longer after the end-bend. So leaves clump on the tines pretty good and require clearing by hand more often (being hollow, I don't really want to bang the handle against the lip of a municipal lawn can, it could possibly crease it). But again, this in not a criticism, and the rake is far more useful for me, even with this slight additional handling. The construction of the tool itself seems to be excellent. The finish seems to be anti-rust also, so with prudent use, it should last a long time. I would classify this as an addition to the regular wood-handled leaf rake that I already own, not a replacement. I'm impressed, and I'm glad I bought it.Update: My wife likes it so much, since we usually yard-work together, we bought a 2nd one.Update #2: Apparently, the same rake for less (and more reviews) here on Amazon.

Sturdy and does a great job.Goid investment

The rake head is small, so measure it out to see if it's enough to handle your tasks. Other wise strong tangs and shaft. Perfect if you're RVing and want something small and lightweight. The hand breaks down into about 18" pieces for easy storage.

My dogs were digging DEEP holes and kicking up dirt, grass and mulch everywhere. This rake tackled each project with ease. I was able to use it without killing my back to rake the dirt back in and fill the holes completely without ripping up the grass or the rake getting tangled up in the grass. I was able to rake the mulch out of the yard and back around the tree with ease and the rake got most all of it out of the grass, again without grass or weeds getting caught up in the rake blades. It's firm but flexible enough to pull back without having to yank. This isn't a rake to use if you want to turn soil over or loosen soil up. I also used it to rake grass trimmings and didn't have to continuously stop and clear out the rake blades. I'm confident leaves wouldn't build up in the blades either. This is an exceptional product!

Small rake head not very efficient

This rake is smaller in width which makes it nice for garden areas and to reach small spaces. Definitely not for big raking jobs and a little pricey. I think I should have looked more.

Good little rake. You can adjust length by using less or more sectios.
