Much prettier than the picture shows-expect to do some labor to assemble-but it's worth it
First of all, the shipping time was fast, which made a difference to me. We ordered three of these, two in the 17" x 17" size and a slightly larger one for the middle of the room (that was almost the same, but not quite-we wanted some contrast). Our room is 12' by 25' so we wanted to make sure there was plenty of light-nothing worse than dark corners in large rooms. When these chandeliers arrive in the box they don't look like much because all the parts and pieces are mostly wrapped up. They actually could look like an overwhelming project! We are experienced with do-it-yourself projects so these went well, it probably took about 4 hours to assemble and install all 3 chandeliers. There was some basic wiring that needed done, also.We have had old and new chandeliers and these are just as pretty as the old ones. The price was wonderful, but we were a little unsure of the quality because of the price. The prisms, beads and etc are all crystal, not plastic, and very sparkly, especially when the lights are on. The wires that attach the crystal pieces are lightweight (but strong) and that took me a little time to get used to. I am used to older chandeliers that have the harder wire that hurts your fingers to bend.We have gotten many compliments on these chandeliers and they look awesome with the three in a row. They look like chandeliers that should be much more expensive than they were. People are amazed that they cost around $100 each. Get some of your own, you won't regret it! But remember...for those who can't do basic wiring or installation, it's worth hiring an electrician in my opinion. Check labor prices ahead of time, and buy light bulbs to have on hand. When you flip that switch on your new chandeliers, it'll be happy happy joy joy.

A total waste of money. Terrible service - very dissappointed.
This is is now a useless hunk of crystal and wires. This was purchased for a vacation home and thus we are not there every week. It took a few weeks after placing the order before we could even open the box. Upon inspection, the large round crystal sphere just below the crystal cup at the top of the stem was shattered during shipment. I emailed the company and they sent a replacement. The solutions from the manufacturer is to replace the broken sphere and let us change out the broken piece. It took multiple week getting the correct part. First, they sent the long cylindrical tube just below the round ball. I emailed the company again repeating and clarifying the needed piece. The next time, they sent a round sphere, but it was slightly different; it was smaller and it was chipped. Finally, on the third try, they sent the correct ball. The next challenge was the final assembly. We were not too concerned as the many reivews sugested it was not too difficult. Since we were scheduled to be out of town for a while, we put it off till our return. Finaly this weekend, we attempted to put it together. Before we could begin to follow the instructions for the final assembly, we had to first replace the crystal sphere that was broken during shipment. This piece is threaded into the stem either from the top or from the bottom and goes just below the crystal cup near the top of the stem. From the top, the stem assembly unit is fused closed and from the bottom, it is screwed closed. We decided it makes sense to try to unscrew the unit from the bottom. We removed the locking screw from the lower assemble and tried to unscrew it to no avail. It just does not unscrew. Both my husband and I gave it a go. My husband worked on it for over an hour without any luck. Unless you are a mechanical engineer, it is not possible to take the assembly apart and replace the broken sphere. We tried to take it apart from the top and from the bottom. It just does not come apart! We sent another email asking for help...either help us take it apart or allow us to send back the broken lamp and replace it with a new unbroken lamp. The following was their reply:Hi,The order is past the time frame for replacement. Also, we sent the correct parts. You may unscrew and replace it, it works.Thank youThere you have it. Just do it. It works. Good luck to us...and good luck to you. I have learned my lesson. I will be purchasing a similar unit from a local company and never buy from Gallery Lighting again. I am so sorry I ever bought this unit. It looked beautiful but it is now useless. This is what they think is 5 Star Service. The unit arrived shattered! They created much of the delay by shipping the wrong parts! I now get totally SHAFTED by Gallery Lighting!!!

I love the chandelier and it's the perfect size for my location over my tub. HOWEVER....What was very disconcerting was the fact that there were no instructions at all regarding assembly of the crystals or pendants. The ropes of crystals were all apart and there were missing connectors. There were no connectors for the ball prisms so I had to fashion connections with wire. I finally copied the picture and tried to figure out where everything was supposed to go. It looks like there are supposed to be eight ropes of crystals from the top to the four arms; however, there are not eight individual places on the top piece. I actually give the chandelier itself a "5 stars" but I have to give the instructions a "2 star".

This chandelier is beautiful! It's exactly what I was looking for for our new guest bedroom. Yes, it is shipped non-assembled but nothing one can't handled with patience. Directions are very vague but if you keep referring to the photo/diagram it can be done. The 'arms' are very delicate and take caution when tightening them to the main base of the chandelier. Plan on at **least** an hour plus for assembly. Do not undertake this project if you are in a hurry! The small rings from which the crystal balls hang are also glass which make it that much more elegant looking. I would have given this a full 5 star rating if it weren't for the vague directions. Otherwise, I recommend this light fixture for a small guest room, bathroom or foyer. It is beautiful!
