Nikon 7072 Lens Pen Cleaning System

First up, I really want to express my love for this nifty tool right off the bat. It is small, portable and light, and takes up virtually no space in a bag. I believe this is an essential piece of kit to anyone with a DSLR, and should be bought alongside a microfiber cloth and a rocket blower. I know many of you will be having doubts as to whether it is a good idea to use this on sensitive lens equipment, but TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, it does the job and it does it without leaving ANY SMUDGES, and removes even the toughest of smudges that even microfiber can't solve. I honestly don't know where I would be without it, I had my doubts but ultimately I have been completely and utterly proven wrong, it works perfectly on both the front and rear elements. In conclusion, DO NOT HESITATE, BUY THIS PRODUCT! It is an amazing piece of kit for something so incredibly simple, and will become a vital part of your kit!

The images here only show a dust brush but at the there end of the pen is a brilliant swab cleaner which secrets cleaning fluid. I am new to photography and this is the first maintenance product I have bought, follow the instructions on the back of the packet and your lens surface will come up looking as good as new without a trace of streaks. Cannot recommend this enough, it's tiny and as far as I can tell completely eliminates the need for an ensemble of microfiber cloth, brushes, air blowers and cleaning fluid, which would be cumbersome to use outdoors and take up a lot of space in my camera bag.

After an evening taking photos at a party with my Nikon D3100 I noticed that there was a some dirt that had accumulated to the front of the lens that my microfibre cloth could not remove. Rather than using any hard treatments that would be rough on the glass I found this on Amazon, it did the job perfectly without damaging the fine glass. Now it stays in my camera bag and I highly recommend it.

Happy to have this in my bag. Its quick and easy to use and seems pretty effective. Not going to be much use getting rid of a heavy fingerprint, but to polish up a lens its ideal.

Very useful product.

Brilliant lens cleaner kit it a convenient pocket size. Slide out brush at one end to remove loose dust, and the other end a rubberised buffer to clean dirt/fingerprints etc off the lens glass. Cheaper alternatives out there, but for the slight price difference this is the one to have

This item really does work, I was rather sceptical when I saw it but I am so glad I brought it, I use it all the time, and it makes my shots very clear. Quick dispatch I received it within 2 days of ordering. Couldn't be happier with it.

Very useful little bit of kit, small, twin use and light as a feather. Not for lenses with heavy dust or marks, but ideal for quick light problems when you don't want or have time for a good clean.

Cet accessoire ne paye pas de mine (désolé pour le jeu de mot) mais il est exceptionnel. Madame a nettoyé tous les objectif facilement sans aucun problème, et le résultat est parfait. Pour nous qui avions peur pour nos objectif et qui n'avions jamais acheté de filtre ou de verre protecteur, ce stylo a redonné un coup de jeunesse à nos 3 objectifs ! Der Nikon Lens Pen Reinigungsstift ist meiner Meinung nach ganz praktisch habe ihn jedoch auch noch nicht oft in gebrauch gehabt. Was ich jedoch sagen kann ist, dass er für den Preis die Linse eigentlich ganz gut reinigt. Weiss allerdings auch nicht ob es nicht noch bessere Produkte giebt da ich nur ein einfacher Hobby Fotograf bin.

I purchased this along with some other things so that I could get free super-saver shipping. It effectively cost me ~$3! For that price or for the $8 it is absolutely worth every penny. This pen stays in my camera bag along with my D50 and does it all. It cleans my filters, my lenses, my viewfinder, and my LCD. Definitely a great purchase. Includes both a brush and a swab/sponge to take care of any foreign objects on your photographic equipment. I would definitely buy another! =) EDIT December 2007: I've now had this cleaner for almost 8 months and it's still holding strong! The brush has been very useful to rid my lenses, filters, and even my camera of dust and other things. And the swab/sponge does a FANTASTIC job of getting rid of finger prints, smudges, and just about everything else on your lens and filters. It also works great in a pinch to clean up your in camera LCD screen from those pesky nose-prints and smudges! The only complaints I have are the following: -The swab/sponge sometimes leaves little black pieces of itself on the lenses if you use it really hard to clean something off. BUT, these are a cinch to get rid of with the brush at the other end, so it's not really to big of an issue. -One problem in extreme conditions: Salty Sea Spray takes quite a bit to get off. It takes about three passes with the swab/sponge to get it all off; including breathing on my filter to get some moisture on it to help clean and also "refresh" the swab/sponge by "cleaning"/"recharging" it in it's own cap which has a little foam in it to clean the swab/sponge. Generally I'd DEFINITELY still recommend this product to ANYONE who needs to keep their equipment clean. Absolutely worth every penny; it keeps my pictures clean and spot free!
