Great on ice
Bought this as i was scared of falling over on the ice after. Bad slip.Works great as i felt more steady on ice with these thank on normal pavementFeet hurt after a long walk in trainers so reconmend wearing with boots,Fit over boots great and snug. But if your a Londoner you may have trouble on and off tubes. Had to keep taking then off and putting them on to do stairs and slippery smooth surfaces indoors on my commute. But if your outdoors in snow and ice, these are perfect

Really work in snow and ice
I was given a pair of these about 10 years ago and they've been fantastic for dog walking in snow and ice ever since. They grip on everything except sheet ice and they're easy to put on boots (easier if you put them on before you put the boots on). I was so pleased I had mine during the recent cold snap that I bought these as a gift for my brother.

Great product, just a little unstable
Overall - great product. Used them over trainers for dog walk and felt confident I wouldn't slip. Went over conpacted snow and these were amazing. Good on ice too - they find grip in any direction.I wore them over leather soles shoes (which are as good as ice skates normally) this morning and great improvement. They fitted better on the trainers but were fine on shoes. You can hardly see them on black shoes too, which is a bonus. They don't have spikes so I trust them to walk a few steps across my expensive hall flooring. My one gripe is stability. The bits you walk on cross over in the middle which means you feel unsteady, like your ankle may go over to the sides, if you're walking on tarmac or ice. Not a problem o snow though.

Life Savers!
Amazing product. I've had a couple of pairs of these. First pair lasted 6 winters before they died, second pair now 1 winter old and going great. I live at the top of a hill in the highlands and would not be able to survive without these. Icy footpaths do not scare me anymore as these grip anything from sheet ice to compactedGreat for anyone, any age. Buy them and you'll walk with confidence every winter!

Confidence restored!
I tried these recently on our seriously icy/snowy (long) driveway and they worked a treat - I now keep them in the back of the car with my walking boots and wellies as they are so easy to slip on. I have fallen a few times on the ice - nothing broken but have been shaken up so I feel much safer and have more confidence walking on ice!

Excellent product and service
These are amazing. I've always been rather anxious about ice, which actually makes more prone to falling over. However, YakTrax seem to love ice, so I could walk down the pavement with confidence (they're not so keen on a tiled floor, as I discovered in the supermarket, but that's a very small price to pay)Also, I opted for 2 day delivery and they actually came the next day, before the weather turned really bad.Consequently, I've been recommending them to everyone!

Easy to fit worked well in the snow
These tracks are the ones where you choose a size rather than the universal size ones. I have now had both and the universal ones are to tight to fit larger size shoes meaning thay are difficult to get on. These are easier to fit however they do not come with a valcro overshoe strap (like the universal ones) and can easily slip of as they did onmy first use. In fact I had to backtrack a mile to try and find it. Fortunately I have some straps from some old broken universal traxs which I have been able to use. They should come with this strap as standard.

A must for the unbalanced and uncoordinated
Ok, so I don't have much experience walking on snow and ice having lived in London all my life and not seeing that much of it. However I do live in a fairly hilly part of town so when snow has hit I've been pretty pathetic - to put I mildly- when walking ,snails have moved faster. So when I decided to go and see the Northern Lights in Norway, someone recommended that I invest in a gadget that would improve my grip. Well I googled and amazon'd and the Yaktrak Walker Traction device came up. I took a chance and bought a pair and I have to say that it gave someone like me, who is completely without balance or co-ordination, hope. Yes, you read that right, hope. I will never be mistaken for Usain Bolt on the ice or snow but I will also never be mistaken for an arthritic snail either! It gave me the confidence to walk along the compacted snow streets of Tromso without the dreaded fear I normally get when I see the snow flakes hit the pavements. If you're anything like me (and I'd like to think I'm not on my own) then investing in a pair of these can't be that bad, can it? The answer to that is no.
