The best patch on the market for the Medtronic Guardian CGM!
I used it for the first time about 6 days ago for my Medtronic Guardian CGM. The Simpatch was something I purchased because I felt like the Medtronic Oval Tape wasn't good enough. It wasn't keeping the CGM properly adhered to my body and I kept having issues with the CGM updating, disconnecting and I wasn't getting the promised 6 day use of the sensors! Those sensors are expensive and I became frustrated that the product Medtronic was selling wasn't good. I ran into your product on Amazon and figured I would eliminate all variables prior to making that decision and figured I would try the Simpatch patch to see if I could get the most out of my sensors. Simpatch has already completely changed my feelings about the Guardian CGM. The CGM is now properly adhered to my skin! It doesn't have a "plastic wrap" feeling that the manufactured Oval Tape had. It is simply more comfortable than any other product I've used for the Guardian CGM. It's flexible, feels more natural and it doesn't feel like the slightest bump, bend or slip may disconnect the sensor. The Simpatch was VERY simple to apply as sometimes in using other tapes or adhesives (depending on body location) I would need some help from my Wife. The adhesive on Simpatch is effect and keeps the sensor on your skin without disrupting it's signal to my pump. It was easy to take off and left less residue on my sensor than the original manufacturer's oval tape. I exercise doing HIIT training every night, shower every night, have used it in the pool and all of those activities rendered no issues-the Simpatch is leaps and bounds better than other products! The edge of the Simpatch hasn't worn down or frayed away from my skin after 6 days! The Simpatch has changed my outlook on wearing the CGM and made the marriage between the my CGM and pump very effective! THANK YOU to Simpatch for an awesome and affordable product!

Best option - a must try
Best adhesive patch I’ve used. Easy to put on. Easy to peel off. Stays on for days. Waterproof. Doesn’t irritate skin.

AMAZING for Medtronic 670G w/Guardian Sensor
Being a Type 1 Diabetic for over the past 37 years, I can attest that there isn’t much that I get excited about with shots and finger sticks. That being said, I have been an insulin pump user since 1998. I have recently started using the Medtronic 670G with the Guardian sensor. Prior to my new pump, I had the Animas Vibe with the Dexcom G4. Let me tell you, I used everything under the sun to make the Dexcom G4 adhere to my body. The adhesive they provided was terrible, it would begin to peel on the 3rd day. I seriously got to the point that I didn’t even use the Dexcom G4 because I wasted too many dollars for a product that could not adhere to my body. I’m sure I could have done more research, but I was just done! My save in grace! 1. When I was informed that Animas was no longer going to manufacture their insulin pumps and I was having to switch to Medtronic, I finally felt a sigh of relief. My very first insulin pump was a Medtronic pump. I read up on Medtronic’s newest pump and their Guardian sensor and a smile came to my face. My best friend since childhood, who too is a Type 1 Diabetic, and has been on the Medtronic 670G with the Guardian CGM for over 1-1/2yr, told me about Simpatch. She told me how well their product adhered to her body and she also informed me of their impeccable customer service. 2. Upon using the Simpatch for my very first time, it was very easy to apply. I first wiped the area I was injecting the Guardian CGM sensor with one SkinPrep pad. Then I placed the Simpatch over the Guardian CGM and voila, it adhered perfectly. (See pictures provided - the patch is adhered to my right leg) 3. The Simpatch “NEVER” lifted on the edges, not even when I reached the 7th day of my sensor to be changed. Let me also add, I workout at minimum 3 days per week. I run, bicycle and weight train, oh and living in Florida with 90 – 100 degree temps, sweating is inevitable. That ALL being said, the Simpatch “NEVER” failed! 4. Changing out the Simpatch is as easy as applying. Removing the old Simpatch, I lifted lightly on the edges and it came off with ease. My skin never felt like it was peeling off with the Simpatch, unlike it did when I used the original adhesive provided by Medtronic. If you need, you can use an adhesive remover wipe (like Reliamed or Unisolve) as you are removing the Simpatch. To the owner of Simpatch, James Duffy, who so nicely sent an e-mail message thanking me for my purchase, I don’t know how else to describe your product other than…AMAZING!!! I LOVE IT!!! I love it so much that I am going to buy the other colors of purple and blue you have available. I wish you would make more colors, because in all honesty, I like showing it off. Yes, I find the Simpatch makes my Guardian sensor look hip. It makes me proud to show that I am a Type 1 Diabetic that is fighting the fight and refuses to ever quit! THANK YOU Simpatch and mostly, THANK YOU JAMES DUFFY!!!

Impressed so far
I'm new to using such things as a Simpatch -- I've only recently been given a CGM (Continuous Glucose Meter). But the tape that came with it failed within 3 to 4 hours of wearing it. So I did a little research and found a lot of favorable reviews about Simpatch. So I ordered them to give them a try. First, they gave me different ones from what I ordered -- I ordered the oblong ones that have a circle in the middle that has no adhesive. Instead I was sent the oblong with all adhesive, even in the center. Because I couldn't wait for a return/resend, I decided to just use them anyway. That was a good call! These actually work fantastically! I live in California, where we're seeing record breaking heatwaves, and I have no A/C... so, sweat is a factor. But not for these patches! They're still holding strong! I have a 7 day sensor and I'm on day 3, so I fully expect these to go the distance. If not, I'll try a little liquid adhesive to see if I can get a little more time out of it. But I'm optimistic based on performance so far. As of right now I would highly recommend these, but beware when ordering... you might not get the exact version you ordered. Update: It is now day 7 and the Simpatch is still doing quite well! With the exception of a tiny edge losing stickiness, the patch has stayed attached perfectly throughout the sensor's 7 day lifespan. I highly recommend these for 7 day sensors. If you have a 10 or 14 day sensor, your miles may vary.

Great quality patch
I bought the Simpatch for my boyfriend’s Medtronic sensor and it’s been great. The patch holds the sensor securely and stays in place really well, even with daily activity. What I appreciate the most is that when we change it, there’s no sticky residue left behind and no skin irritation, which has been an issue with other patches we’ve tried.

More Of A Pain Than Its Worth
These are easy to apply, but they barely last a week. I prepped my arm and applied it exactly as instructed. I applied the patch 2 days after my Freestyle Libre had been applied. It was peeling and fraying in less than a week. It was literally hanging off by the time I replaced my device. The device lasts two weeks. These patches won’t last a full week. It resists water, but should definitely not be labeled as water PROOF. Exposure to water definitely negatively impacts the performance of the patch. It soaks a little up when it’s exposed to it, worsening the poor adhesion. So, every bath/shower, expect it to loosen and fray a bit more. The main problem is once you apply it, it sticks well to the device, but frays and loosens around the edges of your skin. The adhesive is supposed to be heat activated, but it strangely enough sticks way better to the device than your skin. This makes it hard to just replace the patch after a few days. It’s going to snatch your device off, causing a whole nother issue. Also, the brown color pictured is not accurate at all. It appears to be the same shade as the beige patch. So, if you’re purchasing the patch hoping to make your device less noticeable and you have a darker complexion, expect to receive a patch the shade of a normal Bandaid. It won’t conceal the device on medium to dark complexions, so keep that in mind. In summary, this is a low quality patch that won’t even serve for the aesthetic purposes of concealing your device.

Works MUCH better than the patches that come with sensors
I have been using the Medtronics Guardian Sensor and patches that come with it. You would think that as well as the infusion sets hold that they could figure out adhesives, but this is for another soap box. After going through several sensors in just days, I was in desperate need of something better. I do still use one of the patches that come with the sensor, just for the cutout and how it fits around the sensor inserted portion before attaching the transmitter. The Simpatch is a much better solution for the final cover. I also tried tergaderm which does not even come close. My initial complaint is that when pealing the backing off the patch there are no pull tabs to make this easy, I end up touching the sticky side. I have good feeling in my fingers, but for those that don't, this could be difficult. The patch goes on rather easy and covers the entire sensor and transmitter well. I have not had any issues with drying after showering and though i have not tried swimming yet, I did spend a long time wet while pressure washing the house and deck. After about 4-5 days the edges start to peel just a little. I had started trimming them as they do to keep them from snagging on clothing. As far as irritation and rashes from wearing them, I have had no problems, they feel very much like a good bandage and seem to breathe. They will pull hair when you take them off. Overall, I have recommended these to several people I know that wear CGMs. I have shown them to a couple doctors and suggested they give them a try. I like these and will be purchasing more as I run out. Pic attached is the beginning of 4th day wearing

Perfect for freestyle libre sensor
Received this product on May 27th, 2020, it is now June 4th, 2020. It was easy to place (I did shave the area I placed it on, under arm). I'm using it on my Freestyle Libre sensor because they are pricey and I noticed the ashesive was not strong enough and would fall off too soon (6 days into the 14 day operational time frame). I'm not extremely active, but I do jog 5 days out of the week, between 1.5 to 2.5 miles. I needed something with longer lasting adhesion due to the sweat and friction when exercising. Since I put the patch on I have not had any issues. I've jogged and showered and the patch has not given up, which means I get my money's worth since the sensor is functioning throughout it's full 14 day term. Another plus is that when the patch gets wet, I just place my arm in front of an oscillating fan and it dries in 1 or 2 minutes so you don't have to feel that damp feeling for too long (the product strongly objects to using a hair dryer to dry the product as it could become difficult to remove. I use a regular oscillating fan that circulates the air at room temperature). I have also not felt any sort of irritation or reaction to the product which is great. I know the patch looks big, but it honestly doesn't feel like you have the patch on because it's very flexible, lightweight, and breathable. So far so good for me. The product has done exactly what I wanted it to do so I would highly recommend it if you are also looking for something to help your freestyle libre sensor last the full 14 days.
