Not usually like this…
It was sour and I don’t know if this happened after or during manufacturing. Sourness usually happens when the miso isn’t fermented properly. I note that no kojis ( the good pro biotics fermentation buddies ) are listed in the ingredients. I have often used Marukome misos before including in Japan and this is the first time it was not good. It wouldn’t keep me from buying again but not their organic brand perhaps.
