ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX™ 4080 White OC Edition Gaming Graphics Card (PCIe 4.0, 16GB GDDR6X, HDMI 2.1a, DisplayPort 1.4a)

This graphics card is insane! This was the last piece to my gaming build. It handles 3440x1440p ultrawide gaming like a champ and can really put out some crazy FPS. I was upgrading from a decade old system (i7 4790K and gtx 970 on a 1080p 27in 75hz monitor 😳 it was time) The price is quite steep. But, my build was in that strange middle ground where I didn't want to have it all on hold for the new nvidia super cards to release and didn't exactly need the added performance. With some budgeting on other parts, it worked out to have extra money for a gpu like this. Breakdown of my build: Fractal meshify 2 tower, intel i7 13700K. Deep cool LT720 AIO, asus z790A gaming wifi mobo, samsung 990 pro ssd, 32gb of fury ddr5 ram and this 4080 with windows 11 as the os. I write this review after about a week of using it. Overall, extremely happy with this card and the way the overall build came out. You can throw any game at this card and it will handle it.

This card is expensive clearly, but if you're looking for a beast, then you've found it. Here are my biggest pros of the 4080. 1. It runs any game I have thrown at it (the Witcher 3, RDR2, Elden Ring) and doesn't even break a sweat. I'm able to run these games at max settings, 4k, and get anywhere from 100-144 frames. 2. Doesn't run hot, even when fans turn on, the card is extremely quiet. 3. Looks amazing. The white is a true white, and the RGB is beautiful and easy to control with armoury crate. Extremely happy with this purchase.

I had a ROG STRIX 4070TI before this card, and while it was a nice card, this card smokes it in performance, cooling, and silent operation.

going into this purchase I wanted the strix bc it is arguably the best 4080 you can buy (and it was white so it matched the build ascetic). for nearly $50 more you can get yourself a 4090. for me, the 4080 was a better fit bc of the power draw and the fact that I'm comfortable playing high frames on 1440p ultra apposed to upgrading to a 4k monitor. that's the deciding factor I think: do you want to pay a little more for a "low end" 4090? only you can answer that.

Works good fits in my o11 dynamic xl. Wires do touch the glass a bit. Was a bit disappointed in the packaging for the money that was spent.
