I was a bit sceptical about this as the price was really good, it arrived promptly and well packaged in eco-friendly cardboard, and works really well. Feel well made, heats quickly. Like the fact that it stands on it's base which makes it easier to use when doing electrical insulation work on a bench.

Can’t really comment on reliability as it’s only a few days old but so far I’m impressed. I had to rewire my indicators on my motorbike and it would have been so much harder without this little machine. Used in-line connectors that seal and solder when heated and then some shrink wrap and I’m. Confident that the wiring will be 100% waterproof and thus reliable all year round. Look forward to using to strip paint as seems powerful with good heat (fully adjustable) and 2 airflow settings.

The control dial is fine, takes a really good look to find the arrow indicating the setting, it should be in a different colour, a drop of paint will do the trick. Apart from that it works fine, plenty of heat and air. Just remember to open windows if operating inside and close any doors leading to the rest of the house, the smell tries to invade, a mask is a good idea as well as eye protection.

Ok would except stronger heat from this but ok , very hard to see the dials on the back
