These nippers are well-made and have nice thin edges which actually "click" together when closed, which is nice. They do work well on hangnails, however personally I would prefer them just a touch smaller and thinner so I could use them on smaller imperfections. Not a deal-breaker, however.

I really love the design of this item (so much that I bought two) since it is so much easier to have with me than a typical cuticle cutter. But it just doesn't work very well because the blades are not nearly sharp enough. The description refers to "ultra sharp blades", but that is simply not the case. The large cuticle trimmer I have is incredibly sharp, but with this item I feel like it's more tearing away than snipping.

I thought this seemed a tad overpriced, but having received and used it, this tool is worth every penny!

Does the job. Hope it stays sharp. Can be used to trim a hair to the base rather than pluck, good for removing small skin tags and hang nails, without damaging the surrounding skin

I've bought one of these for every member of the family now. So easy to use and simply the best way to get rid of hangnails. Sharp, precise and much better than those big awkward scissor-like trimmers. Recommend.

I'm prone to hangnails and dry cuticles that can rip upwards, so I used to carry around a pair of nail clippers for those issues. However, that doesn't work very well since that's not what they're designed for, and my existing cuticle nippers were too big and unwieldy to stuff in my bag. These solve both of those problems! They work great for trimming cuticles and hangnails, and they're also sturdy and sharp enough to cut a tag or a thread in an emergency. They fit in my pouch of emergency supplies well, and I know that Tweezerman has great quality so I expect these to last years and year--well worth the price. The cap that comes with it is designed pretty badly, though. I had to really jam it on for it to stay, and it's just a straight cap so it doesn't follow the curve of the head so there's a big empty space at the top. But they work, and seems sturdy enough so I can't complain about them too much. They don't open very far so they're pretty specialized, but if you're prone to hangnails these are a life saver.
