The Borrowers (A Puffin Book)

Having watched the movie as a child, I was very curious to read the book as an adult and I can honestly say, I was not dissapointed! Such a lovely read and such depth to the characters. Very descriptive book and has a lot of deeper life lessons hidden within the story. Certainly worth a read for children and adults alike

My kids (5 and 7) and I love this story.

I read this book as a little girl and now i am reading it to my own little girl. It is such a feel good book to read, the chapters aren't too long either which is helpful for short attention spans. don't try and line it up with the movie because it is nothign like the movie - apart from some names!

Having read the book as a child I decided it was about time I re-read it, and it was just as good as I remembered. A great story for children of all ages. I'm sure Borrowers are living in my house!

Bought for a nine year old who had seen it on screen and now wanted to read the book, which she did in record time, so I’m told.

I bought this book for my granddaughter having enjoyed it myself as a child. She is now enjoying it having just reached the age to escape into the story reading it herself

Incredible value. Lovely story - our 5 year old boy is in love with Arrietty from the anime. He follows the book read to him surprisingly well.

Loved this book at 8 years old and it was so fun to revisit it as an adult. Where my love of miniatures started.

I like kids books. I read these to my son before he went to school. He was forever checking under things in case there were borrowers . I would hope that they put the other books in this series on kindle. By the way he turned 41 this year and when he asked me what I was reading I told him this and he laughed and said classic.
