Great Competition Hat.
This is a very cute hard hat. It fit’s perfectly, and my teenager really loves it. The instructions are terrible. Luckily, a previous reviewer had good pictures and instructions, otherwise I would never have been able to figure it out. It’s used regularly for drone competitions, usually in a hot auditorium because they don’t want airflow from the air conditioning affecting the drones. So a tropical climate, with no AC and no fans running during many hours of competition. With no complaints about it getting too hot., so it was well worth the purchase. It’s comfortable, does what it’s supposed to do, and well-made. Just be sure to check other reviews if you have trouble putting it together.

Strong hard hat

Great fit
I bought this hat because one of my customers is having construction done and I needed it to be able to visit them. Having never worn one of my own before, I have to admit it was a little hard for me to understand how to put it together. I even asked the hubby, but he could not figure it out. But after a little bit of trial and error (plus a great YouTube video from 3M's website), I figured it out. After that I was ashamed it took so long, because it really is very easy. The hat is durable and perfect for my needs. It is easy to adjust the fit to any head and holds up well. As someone who wears makeup, it is also easy to clean it when the makeup rubs off on the inside. I bought this specific one because it was vented and I can say that really makes a difference when you have to wear it for the entire day. When I was borrowing the customers hard hats that were not vented, my head was soaked after an hour, but with this one, no sweaty head. It is also very comfortable.

Good hat, complex instructions
I get it why many buyers were furious with the instructions. The texts are in English, French and Spanish, which makes for a very busy field of information. I was flummoxed for several hours until I realized it is imperative to realize that the hat comes with one of two suspension styles. Once I realized which style I had received, suspension installation was a matter of seconds. I believe the instructions are fundamentally in error, at least regarding the explanation for Fig. 8b. It is for the SecureFit Suspension, which I have. It claims that the suspension can be adjusted to settle the hat itself closer to the skull, but this is not true. Changing the adjustment points only changes where the suspension band fits around one's skull. The crossed webbing is fixed to the suspension keys, which are fixed to the hat, so the hat remains at the same distance from the top of the skull. I am pleased with this product's fit, comfort and value for the price.

MISSING KEY PARTS NEEDED TO WEAR HAT
HARD HAT CAME WITHOUT THE SUSPENSION/HEAD GEAR SYSTEM AND WITHOUT THE UVICATOR RENDERING THE HARD HAT USELESS AND UNWEARABLE. SO MUCH FOR GIVING MY HUSBAND A NEEDED SAFETY ITEM HE NEEDED FOR CHRISTMAS. RETURNING ITEM DUE TO THESE REASONS

Bump cap that works
Let's just say we have 6 of our team now wearing them after I got mine 2 months ago, comfortable and light weight

impossible to assemble
likely a great hat but are you kidding me - the instructions for installation are an absolute joke and frankly, I think they sent the wrong suspension system with the wrong shell. There is ABSOLUTELY no way they fit together or if they do, 2 PhDs cannot figure it out after trying for well over an hour including reviews online. Save yourself the trouble and buy one already assembled. RETURNING Update: a friend who does hardhat stuff for a living somehow figured it out but it took him a long time also. I watched him…. But no way I understand what he did. The hardhat is fine once put together; it is not full brim and sits white high but is comfortable. But come on - the direction and photos need to be 100x better.

Decent hard hat, but installing the suspension was a painful process. Watched a bunch of youtube videos and eventually just played around with it and got it somehow. Took over an hour.
