Does what it says
Accidentally ordered some really cool led lights that had a 240 European plug. This worked perfectly and arrived in time for the party.

Gets warm while just plugged in
Well, I haven't "used" it yet. I just plugged it into a wall outlet for about an hour, with nothing plugged into it. It gets quite warm while just plugged in. I wanted to try that first before I actually use it. Something to be very aware of. It does have a fuse- see picture. I hope it has overheating protection too! Gave it 4 stars since it may work fine in the project I will use it in, which will take me some time to build.

It IS getting dangerously hot!
Last week I wrote a relatively positive review about this product since I it worked well with a German device of mine that only used up 10 watts. So I ordered two more. This time I used it with a German device that consumed 14 watts and the Simran converter got so extremely hot, it was about to melt! This shouldn't happen with a 50 watt converter that is connected to a 14 watt device. I don't know why the first converter I bought worked and this one doesn't, but I deleted my previous review and I have to say that this product can actually be very dangerous.

No Recommendation at all !
I used this convertor to use my 220 V personal Electronics in Japan, and my two equipments was broken (15 W battery charger and 5 W Electronic watch) Right after I connected the Electronics to the convertor, I heard noise and the eqipment was broken. I want refund and compensation for the broken equipment, but I don't know how. Anyway, I don't think this convertor work properly.

Too noisy!
I had to send this back. I received a light - as a gift .. from Germany and I needed a converter. This one worked but after a minute or two of use it was so loud ... it was not tolerable...

It melted
Sent it back as it was getting hot even with no load, then it melted (too hot to touch and smelled of burning) with. 10w load, then it died.
