Seasoned Flour, 10 Ounce

I love chicken, in fact it's my favorite meat. Usually, I prepare my own coating for chicken, using a variety of seasonings, however I saw many good reviews for this product, and thought I would give it a chance. At first glance, I thought it was a KFC seasoning, or that it would taste similar. It doesn't, so don't expect it to. What it is though, is a fantastic assortment of seasonings blended together so well, that it produces one of the greatest flavors imaginable. The price is high, and after making the initial purchase and deciding to buy more, I scoured Amazon, to see if I could find a better deal. Which I did. I would suggest skipping this purchase, and just buying it in bulk here: Hodgson Mill Seasoned Flour, Economy Size, 22-Ounce (Pack of 4) Over-all, the item is great, and improves not just chicken, but pork chops! The only downside is, that I used to love my own special blend of spices, and now all I want to use is Kentucky Kernel.

I love this stuff! I make great oven fried and deep fried chicken, pork chops, onion rings, beer battered shrimp, and chicken fried steak with this seasoned flour and I never have to add a single seasoning as I love the mixture of herbs, spices, and salt that's already added and I cannot improve the flavor because I've tried, and any additional seasonings haven't improved the taste any. Kentucky Kernel is always my go-to seasoned flour, I have tried many other different brands and I've also tried adding my own seasonings, and this beats all others hands down. I also love the lemon and pepper one for catfish fillets, although I prefer the regular one for beer battered shrimp.

I kept hearing about "KK" flour for making fried chicken in my air fryer....checked my local Target and they didn't have it so I ordered it off Amazon. Of course, the very next day, I spotted it at my local supermarket for $2.49 (On Sale 2 for $4). But, that's what I get for not checking around. I'm NOT going to knock down stars since it was wholly my decision to pay almost 4x the cost. OK - so, let's review the flour itself. I DID made delicious fried chicken in my air fryer using the KK flour. I followed the instructions on the back of the box and used melted butter vs egg. Next time, I will sprinkle it with some coarse kosher salt as I felt it needed more salt - and I usually do not enjoy heavily salted food. So, if you see it at your local supermarket, grab a few boxes ! Box is pretty small so I don't think I would pay $8 again....

Absolutely great!! I normally make my own seasoned flour but I saw this and thought I would possibly ad it to my own mix but I became ill so I used it by itself on chicken wings and wow!!! The only downside is that after it cools the batter can get a little bit soft and moist so it's best to eat right away, or reheat in something like an oven/toaster oven. It's not good cold

After reading some Great Reviews I decided to get a Box of the Seasoned Flour, even though it was very Pricey $10.05 that's what I paid for a 10 Ounce Box,... It better be Good! ...well, it wasn't, I did not care for it, I make much Better Seasoned Flour Mixes than this. Kentucky Kernel Seasoned Flour doesn't have much of a taste even though on the Box it says that it has 10 Herbs and Spices, the List of Ingredients: Enriched and Bleached Wheat Flour (niacin, iron, thiamine, riboflavin folic acid) Salt, Natural Spices, Extracts and Herbs and Monosodium Glutamate. The Seasoned Flour is very Mild and did not Produced much of a Crispy Coat on my Fried Chicken. I am been very Generous with the Rating!...Thank You D.D.

This seasoned flour has just the right amount of seasonings for your food. I think it is the best! Love the flavor and I have used on many foods that I cook. Great on air fried chicken wings.
