Q: Are these ok to get wet?

These dressing have proved, for me, to be waterproof. My regimen called for leaving these on for 4-5 days at a time. They stayed in place and in spite of getting wet on occasion, they protected my lesions very well. I have no problem, as a retired nurse, recommending these dressings.

Q: I get 2 different answers is the center of the bandages sticky some of you say yes some say no it cant be both

The center is made not to stick but, also to be absorbent. I have neuropathy and I developed a wound. I learned about silicone adhesive foam dressings from the vascular clinic nurses. This particular brand is not as good as the ones at the hospital but are close in comparison. If your wound is starting to scab over you will need to be careful changing the bandage. If at all wet from parts of the wound not scabbed it may stick and pull off the scab.

Q: Does the area to be covered by the wound have adhesive on it?

The pad is 4x4 about 1/2inch of that is adhesive. It’s a string adhesive so if the skin is thin or sensitive around the wound, removing the adhesive will be at least uncomfortable. If the wound area is larger than 3 1/2 inches, you might want to consider getting a larger bandage.
