(Michael here)Formaldehyde is used in some latex products.These bands have a pretty strong odor of formaldehyde. It's not the "rubber smell" you get from a package of household rubber bands or tires.It's the first time I've smelled formaldehyde in over 50 years.It's a smell you never forget.I've only had the bands for a day. If I use them like I plan too, I don't know how long they will last.The resistance is loosely measured in pounds. The more stretch, the "pounds" increase.I'm using these to strengthen my arms for archery. I'm "old" now. I used to have a 50-pound bow. But I was in my teens. I'm using a bow that takes 25 pounds to pull back about 30 inches.The RED "HEAVY" band feels approximately the same as the bow. So, my plane is to work with the BLACK "X-HEAVY" band that feels like about 30-35 pounds stretched to that length.If I double the lesser bands... the GREEN "LIGHT" and RED "HEAVY" bands seem to approximate the Black band.And the BLUE + YELLOW also seem to approximate the Black.I'd give 5⭐s if it weren't for the smell.
