Brilliant quality light to provide supplemental light to your houseplants. I have mine, alongside a few other LED grow lights, mounted 12-18 inches above the canopy of my plants. All plants grow well, even in the middle of winter. The cable/mount seem durable, and the timer on the lead is easy to use and functional. The bulb/shade itself get quite warm with extended use, but I have other bulbs that get far hotter. Overall, a great investment if you have any houseplant or two that you feel could benefit from a little extra light.

Outstanding!! My Houseplants are thriving this last month that I've had the Barrina Pendants installed. Very easy to hang on the wall & easy to adjust too. The timer has 4, 8,14 hours and will go on the next day at the same time. I have my plants 50-100cm under the lights , depending on their lights preferences. It's a learning curve, but the plants will let you know if they're happy or not! Excellent value for money, a third the price of the so called luxury pendants available but just as good! They look great! They help keep the room nice and warm but they never get so hot that it's worrying. I have a Philodendron White Princess 20 cm under one and it's fine. The cord is 4.5m & you get the fittings to adjust the height easily. So you can literally put a light wherever you want pretty much!! My flat has no plugs on the right side of the entire building, but now I can have lights on that side! The diameter of the bulb is 13cm. The spread of the light is impressive. My Draceana Bicolour is happy at 100cm below, basking in the leftover light. Barrina is a respected light in the community, not junk like alot of the '152' LED ones. LED will last 50,000+ hours! The bulb is huge, very bright and very heavy. It’s not a bulb you can have within view, especially if you’re like me and suffer with migraines. I like the look of the lamp as it’s not too industrial-looking. It’s nice and sleek. It’s one of the brighter bulbs on the market but that’s good for the plants. It’s well priced too. The fitting that comes with the bulb comes with a built-in timer that I found limiting. For example, if you try to use an external smart plug or timer plug with it, you need to turn the press the switch on the wire for it to turn back on. I couldn’t figure out any way to override the timer or set it to be permanently on. I bought a clamp gooseneck bulb holder designed from another brand so that I could make sure the bulb faced away from the sofa. This also saved drilling. The clamp comes with its own wire that is just on and off, without a timer, this meant that I could use my own smart plug with it, setting it to go on and off when I want and also giving me the ability to easily turn it off if I need it to be darker for whatever reason. I paid around £25 while it was on sale and even with the cost of being a different fitting added, the price still beats many competitors and the bulb is one of the nicer looking ones out there. I would definitely recommend this bulb, but just make you sure you truly consider where you want to use it and anticipate that it will be extremely bright!

I am very pleased with the outcome of introducing this light to my plants. My alocasia flowered in winter! The lights come with really nice fittings, including the screws and rawl plugs you need to manage the cables and a tidy fitting that covers the screws to make a nice white fitting. The lights is extremely bright (my dogs think it is the sun and regularly lie under it) and plants absolutely thrive under it. The timer is also very handy. I would recoemmend this to all houseplants lovers, particularly if like me you live very north and don't get much sun in the winter!

Edited: I have it for 5 months and is switching on randomly, bulb is good, the wire/timer very bad. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE contacted me and sent me a new one, great service.

Bulb only worked once then stopped. Timer seemed to keep working, but not bulb, even following reset instructions? Seemed tricky to contact seller so returned as faulty.

It's good value for money. Works very well. It's a very bright white light but it will help my plants during the short and darker days. Easy to assemble and to set 4,6 or 8 hours of light, it reapats on and off cycle everyday at the same time.

Update : The company got in touch and offered a replacement that came within days. During the time I didn't have the light, I've noticed that my plants weren't growing as fast, if barely. Once I started using the light for around 6 to 9 hours a day, I've noticed my lemongrass and ginger were growing quite fast. I am usually dubious about claims by manufacturers, but I'm surprised it actually works. The light has been working for the past week or so without a fault (unlike the first one) Excellent customer care. ------ Old review : I bought this in spring because of a special offer, and some good reviews. As soon as it arrived, I tested it out for 4 hours and it worked fine, so I repacked it for later use (as there wasn't any point in using this during summer) Skip to autumn, I plugged it in, turned it on, and set the timer for 4 hours. 1st day, worked fine. 2nd day, started to flash for a few seconds before resuming. I didn't think much of it then. 3rd day, it started flashing as soon as I plugged it in and turned it on. It hasn't stop flashing. It's too late for me to return it. I can try to fix it but I don't have time to find and replace the broken led. I originally had high hopes for this. Very disappointed.
