PEAT FREE Premium Moisture Control Compost, 40 Litres, Brown

Used it for bulb planting, and everything has come up (very surprised as I split my bulbs with my grandfather and not one of his has grown!). Whether it's down to this compost or when they were planted (I put them in later than him), or because mine were sheltered from the weather on a balcony whilst his were in an exposed garden, I can't say. But the plants are healthy, flowering already (Narcissus, Crocuses, Snowdrops, and plenty of others which will flower in the coming weeks), and everything seems to be happy. I only ever buy peat-free compost as I actually give a damn about the planet. This was a nice loose compost, high quality (no twigs, no plastic - as I've had in bags from other producers), smelled healthy... seems good enough to me, though it is expensive compared to what can be purchased in supermarkets etc. But I don't drive and am not lugging 40L of compost home on the bus! :D

I have used several different brands of compost over the last year - usually depending on what happens to be in stock. The product I wanted this time was not available in the quantity I needed and so I looked at some of Amazon's recommendations and decided to take a chance with the Miracle Gro product. The price for 40 L I did thing was quite low - I was able to buy it at a very small discount but even the full price was less than I have been paying for other products, and the Miracle Gro offered nigh on double the size. I will say I was impressed. The compost had just the right amount of moisture content and it was a nice, light texture - and after using half the bag I have not come across any large pieces of wood or other debris. It was easy to use, no waste and so far the plants I've potted and those I've repotted appear to be getting along just fine. Based on my first use of this compost I can say this will become my number one choice in the future. It really is far better than the other brands I've used for some time and the price is extremely attractive.

I've used this product many times and found it to be good quality, and great value for money. Only downside, the carrier did not hand it to the resident, namley myself, instead it was dropped on the floor in a public access Atrium!

Great value for money, Great size bag and lovely texture.

This compost is up there with the high end products that are available however they can be very pricy. This really is top grade stuff that will enhance root growth and give you many more flowers due to all the added nutrients and feed in the soil, great consistency that absorbs water thus allowing you to water less frequently, quality compost is a must if you want to care for your plants, why spend all that money on plants only to put them in low grade compost that doesn't help them at all, there's other products out there but for quality and value for money you can't go wrong here!!

I have recently purchased this a few times. The delivery was good , no problems with the packaging. I find this value for money, and it’s good for the plants , as its miracle grow. If your looking for a reliable compost, this is an excellent choice.
