It actually works
So, it does what it says it does. I tried the single packet that are like crystal light and it doesn’t mix well because the water is cold. When l put it in the bottle and mix it up with the machine it is fine. I think the liquid drops would taste and mix better with the cold water. I did 5 to 6 pumps and it was strong, you have to twist it off slowly or it will come spring out like a coke that was shook.. l will update soon when l use it more. I think people who are having issues with leaks are holding down the button to long. It's a learning curve, bc it happened to me. I like mine strong, so l pump two times and let the bubbles settle, then l pump two more time and let the bubbles settle, and thenmore l do one more pump. When l'm done l take it off slowly, so it don't come spilling out. That has worked for me. The only issue l'm having is finding the right flavor that taste good. If anything changes l will update. I might try to do a video.

Loved Soda Stream v1. Hate this model!
Bought my first Soda Stream in 2020. Loved it for the instant carbonation, value, and convenience. When my v1 died in late 2023 I bought the Gaia model. I truly hate this model and am now looking for a replacement. As others have noted, this leaks everywhere. I could bear with that, but the real problem is that it simply doesn't work. After pumping the carbonation 3x more than what is recommended, I see bunch of frothy bubbles, but they instantly fade away and I am left with flat water. I like flavored drinks and now I am just paying a lot of money for flavored flat water. Really hope there is a better model that is affordable that I can find soon.

It works fine but not a complete substitute for store brought carbonated drinks
I recently got into drinking soda water for health reasons and at this point I spend almost as much as coffee and soft drinks so one day I decided to look for a DIY substitute and order one of these. The device is super easy to use and after setting it up it was ready to go. The carbonation is okay, even with the "do five pumps for strong carbonation" setting the kick is not nearly as strong as the store brought soda water (for me). If the kick factor for store brought soda water is a 10/10 then the Sodastream enhanced ones is like a 7/10. Overall four star because it was easy to set up and use, I will continue using it as to supplement my soda water needs but I most likely will still buy some at the store once in a while if I want a stronger kick.

Highly recommend!
Love my SodaStream! I am a huge consumer of seltzer and I would always run out. This solves that problem. I use my SodaStream every day and enjoy that I don't have to run to the store to get seltzer. I haven't used flavoring drops yet to make sodas, but I am going to give it a try. I like that I can control what goes into my water. This helps with making sure I drink more water throughout the day. The carbonation is perfect, and I can go a little lighter or add more if I want. It sits out on my counter and fits perfectly under my cabinet. Overall, i would recommend this!

Easy to drink more water
Got great price. Even better than the first machine. Sleek and takes up little space. Drinking more water.

Progressively and very quickly getting worse
I don't know if there is something wrong with the one I got or not. The first couple bottles of carbonated water I made were very fizzy but each successive one seems to have gotten less and less fizzy. I'm only on my seventh bottle and there seems to be almost no carbonation in the water at all. I tighten the bottle as instructed until it clicks in place and will tighten no further but sometimes water sprays out of it, not every time mind you but usually one push out of the three for standard fizz, and the 5 pushes for extra fizz is not doing much better. It seems to "blast" into the water as much as it did in the beginning but imparts less carbonization into the water each time. I purchased this basic cheaper version with one liquid bottle and one Co2 bottle to try it out but if this is how it's supposed to work I'm not very impressed. UPDATE: On my 8th try I got much better carbonation. I tried holding the button down just a little longer each time and it turns out there is a big difference between holding the button down for say 7/8 of a second compared to a full second or maybe a little over. Happier with it now. It still loses a star because the Co2 bottles are so expensive.

What an utterly and completely idiotic design. Before, the cannister screwed in, and the soda bottle was quick release. Now, the soda bottle screws in and the cannister quick releases??? Why? Why? Why? What absolute brick thought that up? You change the cannister maybe once a month, what the hell is the point of that being quick release? Every time you use the bottle it's wet, either from filling it up or from the condensation of the cold water, so you're fumbling with it trying to get it to screw and unscrew and it's a complete pain in the ass. And every single model is now like that!! What the hell for! Just to force us all to buy the new cannisters? Is that literally it? After one of the cheap crappy plastic pieces this thing is made of breaks I'm never buying a sodastream again. I'd rather go back to lugging home cases of club soda.

I think I read that the machine leaks before I bought it, and it does. But sometimes when I hold the bottle while I press the button, it leaks less. You might want to place paper towels or a bag or something underneath it before you use the machine If you’re expecting the same drinking experience as buying a Coca Cola in a store, it’s not the same. But I recommend it. It’s cordless and it still is satisfying

A great alternative to constantly buying bubbly. The machine is wireless and comes with the cylinder to carbonate the water.
