I'm looking at these to save energy costs from devices on standby..but can't find literature to say how much energy these devices consume to compare savings.

As far as I'm aware these devices do not sit in standby mode, it's a little more binary, they are on of they are off.They are plugged in to the source and the device you want to control is plugged into the device. The controller switches it on or off in the same way as you would switch the socket on and off by the switch.

Can you buy more remotes if so how much would they cost

Do these work with home automation controllers like the rfxcom rfxtrx433e usb controller?

Not organically. But if you get an RM Pro+, you can get it to control these like the remote does. THEN you can use these with alexa etc.

I’ve a floor lamp that is class 3 (low voltage) and uses a plug in transformer which should not be replaced with 13amp plug Can I use this item

Not sure if this helps - I use them for my lamp with fitted plug that is plugged in to a 6 plug extension socket and it works fine and use the others for strip lights under my tv unit
