I purchased this to mitre edges for acrylic work that I do and it worked perfectly. So far I’ve sanded hundreds of edges with great accuracy. The speed knob is great but the fact that you can increase the speed on the power cord as well is even better. You can really fine tune the needed speed of the belt quite well. It’s powerful and pretty well built. It’s small which exactly what I needed. It’s pretty loud at high speed if not weighted down or held down.The angle guides can be bent easily if not careful other than that it’s perfect.

the machine works good but removing the belt is a pain in the @$$... also the sanders are aluminum oxide so make sure you wear a cloth mask or something even better n90 etc. the belts run out quick on carbon steel after 20 minutes of use my 240 sander turned into a smoother 1000 grit.

The media could not be loaded. This mini belt sander is well made and works perfectly with out taking up a lot of space on my work table. I love how it has a speed control dial too!!

I make small tools from wood for weaving accessories and needed a "hobby" sander. This is a good solution and it was at a great price which I wanted as it will only be used occasionally, but is needed.

This tool was inadequate for my needs. First its duty cycle is rather limited, 30 minutes on, 15 minutes off. That should be in the listing. It takes very little pressure against the belt to slow it down significantly. As a result, even the coarse belts do not remove much material. And the belts apparently distort after very little use and there’s no adjustment to compensate for it, so once distorted the belt won’t stay on the wheels.After spending way too much time trying to use this, accomplishing little, I ended up using my Makita cordless orbital sander, it wasn’t ideal, but about 3x faster, supplies are cheaper and practically no duty cycle limits (my hands needed to rest more than the sander did.)

One thing not mentioned in the listing for this sander is that the power supply that it comes with has a multi position switch to change it's output from 12 to 24 VDC (as well as 16, 18, 20V etc) This is nice because it can be slowed down quite a lot at 12 V and then ramped to the speed that suits you.
