Brilliant book, lovely illustrations and very clear instructions. Lots of pictures describing different colourways, combining a few blocks or making a sampler quilt. Inspiring book to have on your bookshelf joining the other Jelly Roll books in this series.

As usual the authors have produced some lovely quilts that make you want to get started on at least half straight away. I love the clear instructions, I live in the middle of France in a farming community and have nobody I can turn to for help if I don't understand what to do next, so clear instructions are vital for me, and these lovely ladies always come up trumps. If you like jelly rolls, you will want this book.

Love this book. I will use it for ever as it has the potential to rid my stash of all of those jelly rolls I have regretted buying and make something beautiful and unique.

I have always loved all of Pam and Nicky's jelly roll books - have bought them avidly and made a number of quilts based on them. The combination of brilliant designs, exceptionally clear instructions, and beautiful images has been a winner. Sadly, though, I was a little disappointed by this, their most recent book. One of the things I have always loved in previous books, was the chance to see the same design made up in different fabrics: this inspires me to see how I can make the design my own. In this book, the designs are still brilliant and inspiring, and the instructions look just as good as ever (no, I haven't tried one yet, although I'm certainly going to!). However, I felt that visually this was not so well presented as the other books have been. Too many of the quilts were only shown draped or folded, rather than clearly visible to give one a good idea of the whole. The final five quilts - some of the most interesting in design terms - are ONLY shown in one colour way, not made up in a second one. There are also a large number of photos - indeed the whole of the inside front cover - which just consist of a close up of a small area of patchwork with quilting details. This actually tells us very little: we know their quilts are beautifully long arm quilted at The Quilt Room - we don't need to be shown it. What we want to see is the overall effect of an entire quilt. I suspect that this was probably a publisher's / editorial decision, and it was a wrong one. Their designs are fantastic: let us see them clearly in their next quilt book (which will hopefully not be too long away!!).

An excellent purchase for quilters who like to use jelly rolls. Clear, accurate instructions. Very good value for money book.

Lots of great projects

I love sampler quilts and sampler quilt books. They are an underappreciated genre in my opinion. They are perfect for the teacher and student alike and no home is complete without a sampler quilt. This is a modern approach to making sampler quilts and I found it refreshing as well as enjoyable. A much needed and wanted addition to my quilt library.

The patterns available are attractive and the instructions easy to follow. I will be definitely making several of the quilts in this book, as I have from the earlier jelly roll pattern books by the same authors. I was a little disappointed though that so many of the pieces for the blocks were cut using the multi 45/90 ruler as I don't have one of these specific tools and no other measures were included. I compromised by using what I already have rather than spend another £15 on yet another ruler.

Je ne suis pas très bonne en anglais, mais je me suis laissée tenter et je ne regrette pas cet achat. Les modèles sont bien photographier et on été réalisés avec différents tissus pour un meilleur rendus. les schémas des blocks sont dessinés pour une meilleure compréhension et si les mesures sont anglaises rien n'interdit d'utliser un convertisseur ! Bref, je recommande ce livre a tous ceux et celles qui aimes le patch, même aux débutant(e)s, et pour les hésitant(e)s a cause de la langue, les dessins sont bien détaillés.

These authors don’t disappoint. Another great pattern book. There are instructions for 8, 10, 12 and 16 inch blocks. Suggestions on how to put them together into a quilt with fabric (strip) requirements per block.
