Continental 17120420000 Contimobility Kit

After a puncture, I just bought this kit again to replace the one supplied with my Nissan Juke. My rear tyre was full on flat and as there is no spare wheel I was stranded. I found this kit was simple to use and very effective. I followed the instructions on the compressor, attached the sealant bottle, connected the pump to the tyre and switched on. 10 minutes later I was back on the road. There are cheaper kits but I am staying with this one as it worked so well.

I had a slow puncture late at night on the M4 and limped home stopping at every services to re-inflate the tyre. Next morning the tyre was totally flat. I used the kit having watcheda YouTube video and it inflated the tyre and lasted perfectly until that afternoon when I got to a KwikFit. Great product - just bought a new bottle of sealant in case of another issue in the future.

In the era when you don’t get spare wheels any more with cars, when peace of mind is what you need especially on a long drive abroad, this kit goes some way to giving you that… though let’s hope I never have to use it…!

Used on my Range Rover Sport as its the kit supplied, 4mm hole on tread, did not work. , Had to be recovered by the AA.

When I had to use this tyre repair kit I discovered that the bottle of latex connects to the air tube and that after use the whole tubing also had to be replaced. Contrasting another make where the air tube from the pump connects to the bottle which then has its own connector to the tyre, a much cheaper option and doesn't require tube replacement

Came in the boot when I bought my car however the sealant bottle was missing so I can't account for that in my rating. Useful for a quick fix on the way to the garage though

This kit comes as standard with my Land Rover Discovery Sport. I had to use it yesterday with a serious slow puncture. Stopped the car and inflated the tyre with this. The compressor is very good indeed however the sealant did not work. Drove for 3 miles to a service station and reinflated the tyre. Drove again and the tyre continued to deflate. Called for vehicle recovery which was in two parts. After being dropped off from one wagon at a service station to be picked up by another I noticed the the tyre had completed deflated. On this occasion (unlike before) the sealant was clearly leaking through he puncture. I reinflated tyre before vehicle was put onto second truck. On arrival it had deflated again so I pumped it up again. Amazingly it has now stayed inflated. Bot late though 24 hours later! Vehicle is leased so I will replace the tyres like for like and the slant bottle however next vehicle will have a spare wheel I think.

L'ho ricomprato poichè avevo usato (e finito) il kit precedente che avevo; facile da usare, buone spiegazioni, tempi di riparazione tutto sommato brevi. Ovviamente se si ha uno squarcio sul pneumatico non gli fa nulla, ma il classico foro lo ripara benissimo.

Gekauft als Ersatz für das identische Kit aus meinem Landrover, wo es ab Hersteller schon im Kofferraum lag. Die Bedienung ist einfach. Praktisch eingesetzt neulich, als ich auf einem Feldweg über eine Schraube gefahren bin und mir so einen Reifen perforiert habe. Die Schraube hatte einen Durchmesser von ca 5mm. Nach ca 15 Minuten konnte ich problemlos weiterfahren. Auch nach vier Tagen, als ich dann zum Reifenwechsel fuhr war keinerlei Druckverlust zu verzeichnen - das Dichtmittel hat super funktioniert. Es ist allerdings schade, daß man nach dem Gebrauch anscheinend auch den Kompressor entsorgen muss, da die Flasche mit dem Dichtmittel so einrastet, daß man sie nicht mehr ohne erhebliche Eingriffe abbekommt. Vermutlich ist das so, da der Kompressor intern mit der aushärtenden Dichtmasse verschmutzt ist. Dennoch trübt diese Verschwendung ein wenig den Gesamteindruck. Fünf Sterne gibt es trotzdem, da es funktioniert hat.
