I've been using this henna for a long time and love it.
I definitely recommend using red henna first if you have blonde to medium brown hair so you get the desired result. Definitely use red henna first if you have gray hairs. Washing your hair with shampoo only beforehand makes a world of difference as well. Add lemon juice for highlights, or ACV to deepen the color. Do not use too hot off distilled water otherwise you will kill the indigo. Warm is sufficient. You should be able to see the Indigo darken on the surface after mixing. That is when it is ready to apply. I usually apply it approximately 15 minutes after mixing. Adding a fee drops of sweet orange essential oil helps with the smell.

Beautiful color shinny and string
I had all possible colors in my hair: red , pink, yellow , and orange after a series of blond highlights and red reinforcement. I was using pink color shampoo to keep the color . It dried extremely my hair and the ends were breaking and thin. Disaster. My hairstylist said we can always add a black dye , but I did not want to use more chemicals. She said henna will make it green. But after many reviews I decided for this one, and can not be happier than now.I followed all the instructions, and although it was said you had to use the normal henna then indigo , I just decided for the dark chocolate color to check if it was enough to cover color.Left it for 2,5 hours, even rinsed it in the backyard with a hose (to avoid the mess, saw the tip in YouTube). Waited 48 hours to shampoo. It not only covered beautiful the color , but my ends are strong and healthy again. I bought the pack of 3 and will happily use it again in couple of monthsPics are from before and after.

Dark chocolate is almost black on light/med brown hair
My hair is light/medium brown and the dark chocolate turned almost black, which is fine for me. I mixed the whole bag, and it turned out rather think, and was a little tricky to apply and heavy on my scalp. I had some shedding afterwards. My hair has a very slight green tint though. The insert says that something went wrong and to contact them, but it’s not that bad, and I know it will fade. Directions say to boil distilled water in a non-metal container, but I didn’t have one. Make sure you get the right consistency otherwise applications will be even more difficult. It rinses out easily. I shampooed mine afterwards, and my hair still has a bad smell. They say not to shampoo for 24 hours for a longer lasting color. Hope this helps someone. I’ve had better experiences with Light mountain in the past with a lighter color like mahogany.

Doesn't work
I'm not new to henna, I'm surprised there are so many positive reviews for this product.First time I used this, I followed instructions.. ( I have the brown henna,). After using it, I had days when blue color read coming off my scalp(from the indigo). The dye left more of a red henna color. My hair felt really dry and brittle too, a lot of fall out.

Amazing the coloring process is long but well worth it!

My holy grail henna!
I love this henna and have been using it for over a year now! Now, how I mix it. A one step brown henna can be tricky because normally the henna needs to cure to have the best dye release and the indigo only deposits color for a short time in comparison to the henna. The best way I have found to keep my cool tone is to mix with very warm water; I don't add any vinegar or lemon juice because the indigo does not like it. I do add 1/2 tsp of salt to aid the indigo. I mix the water, salt, and henna mix together and let it cure for 10 minutes before I apply. I leave on 2 hours only because after that the indigo stops depositing color...and I prefer my hair super cool toned. If you are wanting a slightly warmer color you can either let the mix cure longer before applying or keep the mix on your head longer. Now that my length is the color I prefer, I only apply to my roots every month. About every 4 months I mix up a gloss with 4TBS henna mix and 1 cup conditioner and let it sit for 2hrs. This keeps my hair glossy. Most henna mixtures freeze well if you make up too much, but please don't freee this one once mixed up. The indigo, once mixed with water expires quickly and you will not get the color you want.

Love it! (And advice for new folk)
I love Light Mountain henna! This company’s henna has given me the best results of any henna product I’ve ever used. My hair always feels so soft and healthy after using and the color is deep and so pretty! For first time users I feel like I should give you a heads up, using henna to dye hair is different from using the typical bottle dye. For one thing if you use henna, the color is going to change in the first couple of days. For me it gets more intense but it’s different for everyone. Also using henna is pretty permanent, you can’t really bleach it out or cover it with anything except more henna. I tried bleaching once and my hair turned orange (like classic Hayley Williams). Also it has a deep earthy smell to it, I kinda like it but a lot of people don’t, you can mix in some cinnamon and lemon juice to help with the smell. And it can take awhile, bottle dye usually takes an hour at most but depending on your hair and preferences, henna can take a few hours and if you don’t wipe it off your skin you’ll have orange skin spots for a day or so.And one more big thing, henna will NOT lighten your hair. Not at all. And I wouldn’t suggest bleaching before you dye because it keeps the henna from staying on your hair. It’s all worth it though, I spent years dying with bottle dye and it was frustratingly hard to keep that red color I loved. Henna keeps your color going and it makes your hair feel healthy and good. It’s totally worth it!

Le gustó!
Le gustó mucho su tinte de Henna orgánica Dark chocolate, pues su pocas canas le quedan rubio cenizo.
