This was a really fun activity that we did with the grand kids. Are the paints and brushes top quality? No, but it doesn't matter. It was really fun to paint and let the kids be creative. They were really proud of what they had done and couldn't wait to take it home and show mom and dad. The added bonus is that it is something homemade that lights up and can be displayed for a long time to come.

This is great for a gift - it's a fun light that also allows you (or a gift recipient) to show off their artistic flair! If you are looking for a moon lamp with higher accuracy, this is not the best for that -- however, for more artistic gifts this is nice. My biggest complaint is the included paints aren't the best quality - but I found if thinned a small amount (just using water, starting a drop at a time on the pallet) that the brush strokes aren't as noticeable. (Of course for some parts you may want the brush strokes too, there is no "correct" way when it comes to artistic expression!)

This lamp was so much fun to gift! They enjoyed designing and getting to paint their own moon lamp. I like that it came with everything you need to complete. The paint, the paint brush, the paint Tracy ect. I also like that the moon light itself changes various colors.

I recently ordered this for my 10-year-old daughter who loves to paint (she attends weekly art classes at the local cultural center) and I have to admit I am impressed with this product. Unlike a similar kit I ordered previously from another brand, this one includes everything you need to paint the moon lamp, including the paints, brushes, painting trays,etc. Everything was also in the box securely unlike the one I ordered from another brand that had the paint opened and all over when it arrived. I also like that the lamp can be used as a night light (with remote control). It's a great way to add a personalized touch to her room while providing a soothing and relaxing ambiance at night.Overall, I am very satisfied with art kit. While the paints and brushes are not high quality, the paint does hold and my daughter loves that she was able to make her own nightlight. Great for a rainy day as she really did enjoy the activity.

This is a really cute kit that comes with everything you need, except paint brushes. I love that it includes 2 little astronauts and a spaceship - adorable touch. The moon is textured like an actual moon surface, so painting pictures on it could be difficult. However, if you like the idea of just painting colors or such, that won't be a problem at all. For me, I haven't yet decided if I want to paint it at all. It comes with a remote that I can change the colors and also have it flash/strobe/fade automatically if I choose, so I am not yet ready to alter that relaxing method as yet. Either way, I'm going to get a couple more of these for the artistic ones in my household. I can see this being a fun project.

This is such a fun craft! My kids had fun painting the sphere and then it was fun once it lights up. We use this as a night light in their bedroom.

My son loves creating things and was tickled pink to receive this lamp. It comes with everything you need to make it your own. The paint and brushes that it comes with aren't the highest quality but they do the trick. My son used his own brushes so he could cover more surface area quicker and then add better detail. There's no reason to have to buy anything additional though unless you want to.

This was the perfect gift for my niece! The color changing aspect on the ball itself is really cool. It comes with a remote too so you can change the color while also sitting in bed (no constantly getting up trying to negotiate at bedtime). This is a neat project to do with kids and it’s like creating their own night light! Love it!!!
